Review: I signed up my son for a year of karate and staff didn't informed me the contact would be renewed. My son was hospitalized for his asthma in November and when I tried to get in contact with someone to cancel my account because of his condition, I was told I would receive a call back and never did. Then when I find out from member solutions my account would be renewed in January I called the office for about a month and a half tryingtot I get in contact with [redacted] or [redacted] to find or how to cancel this, the staff gave me the run around and told me either they weren't around or if just missed them. I left several messages and never received a call back. Finally I showed up at the office and they give me a email address to get in contact with someone I've never met and whom I have to get on contact with to cancel a contract that I didn't ask to renew. This boss now tells be I have for opinions in order to cancel my account a) pay and continue b) pay and not continue c) not pay and not continue, making me a default client or d) pay a cancellation feel of $250. In my opinion this is unprofessional and wrong, whyshould I have to pay in order to cancel a contract I didn't wish to renew especially if the staff didn't inform me of what I needed todo in order to cancel my agreement.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of agreement without having to pay them a cent more.

Sincerely,

Review: I signed my 4 year old son up for a summer program at Kai MMA's new location in [redacted]. I was told verbally by D[redacted] (the instructor and whom I enrolled with) that if I decided not to go ahead with wanting to send him to the program I had to send them a written letter at least 2 weeks in advance of the program start date to withdraw him from the program. I decided against sending my son to their "Summer Program" because there never was anyone at the school. It was dark and closed when I passed on many occasions. The lack of activity going on there gave me a bad feeling and it seems I was right. I showed up with my son on several occasions for his free "try out" classes and the school would be dark inside with just a the teenage instructor [redacted] behind the desk. On his 1st try out class (I showed up at the appropriate date/time that there was supposed to be a scheduled class for his age group) I literally had to bang on the front door multiple times and walk around the building. After about 10 minutes of knocking, walking around and waiting Ms. D[redacted] came to open the door. There was no heat on in the school - it was freezing and no light were on. When I inquired as to why there were no other children arriving for the supposed class Ms. D[redacted] said they were new to the neighborhood and that yes other children were beginning to enroll. I brought my son on the 2 other "free trial classes" they offered and those 2 occasions were exactly the same no other students, just Ms. D[redacted] sitting behind the desk and a cold dark room. I did send a registered letter way in advance of the 2 weeks Ms. D[redacted] requested however it was returned to me because no one was ever there to receive it ( have the returned letter). Kai MMA then sent me into collections with a company called Member's Solutions who called incessantly -my home at 8 am on Saturdays waking the house up, evenings while trying to have dinner and embarrassing me on my work phone. I tried on many occasions to tell them that I followed the steps Ms. D[redacted] told me on how to withdraw my son from the program that they never provided and services that were never given to my son. However the contract and the verbal instructions that Ms. D[redacted] gave me were completely different and Member's solutions told me that they can only go off of what the contract states. There was no class going on b/c there were no students - There was no Summer program because there were no children to have a program for. The whole business was dark, odd, lifeless and completely unprofessional. A stark contrast for sure from what they advertise online and on facebook. They put me into collections and took $380.00 from me which was way beyond what it would have cost me if he actually would have went to the program for services they were unequipt to provide.. They are a disgrace.Desired Settlement: I would like for Kai MMA to at least reimburse me for a portion of what they had me pay Member Solutions. Paying $380.00 for a program my son never attended because there were no other students enrolled is a disgrace. They could not hold up their end by providing the summer program they advertised and offered so it was my choice as a parent to not leave my son in a cold, dark room with a teenager I did not know and feel as a parent I was doing the right thing. It is my right as a parent to choose not to leave my son somewhere I felt unfit to care for him and I should not be charged 380.00$ for him to NOT go there.

Review: My son was attending the after school program for a few years at this facility. In 2014 I signed my son up for the summer program. Unfortunately, at that time I lost my job and could not afford to continue to use their services. I spoke to the instructors and they informed me that eventhough I signed a contract for the summer, they will work with me and allow to pay only $200 for the agreement. The following month I was getting harassing calls from their program Members Solutions explaining I owed 400, and I said it was impossible because we spoke about this. I called them and they explained that I should not worry about it. Now I am being put through collectors for over $3000. They told me that it is an automatic renewal, I was never aware about any automatic renewals because the years before each semester or season started I will personally sign papers to enroll him. Now this is suppose to go on my credit report which is totally unfair. I have reached out to the president via email and they told me they cannot help me because it is out of their control. I am not the only person this had happened to.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to take it off my collections. They should advise parents of automatic renewals.
