I have the same contracts that Mr [redacted] is talking aboutAfter making various threats, I have retained a lawyerAnd I have submitted all of my documents to the Police department along with pictures of work doneMr [redacted] can sit there and defame my character, but its not going to workI have been in this business for more than years and have countless individuals who will go to bat for me any time and any day

We have tried to get in contact with both owners to remedy said issuesI emailed three times to get pictures of said issues so my contractors can remedy said issuesI have all of the emails, phone calls and text messages from last week showing not just me, but my contractors trying to get in touch with themAfter we installed the fence and received the inspection, that is when they paid out a portion of the final balanceI also took $dollars off the final balance just becauseThese homeowners have been the most vindictive individuals I have ever dealt withIf my company was a bigger company, they would not be doing any of thisThey will not be receiving a refund of any kindAnd again, all I asked was to see pictures of the said issues and we will diligently be taking care of them

I contacted the homeowner approximately two weeks ago to let them know the situation with my companyI stated that from a combination of spreading myself to thin and not getting paid on certain jobs, that that is why I was asking them to work with me on getting their project doneI stated that since they had a balance left of a little over $dollars, if they could pay for the rest of the material and we could finish the project out and they wouldn't owe anything to me since this project has gone way overThe remaining material balance was going to be around $The homeowner did not want to work with me so this is why we are here nowThis has nothing to do with being fraudulent, 90% of the job is complete less touch ups, etcBeing fraudulent means I took your money and didn't do anythingI'm in the process of working with one other homeowner who had no problem buying the material directly from the supplierWe are now done with her project and she is happyI just didn't understand why the homeowner didn't want to work with me to get this job doneIts not like I owed them money, they still had a balance dueCash flow is a major obstacle when it comes to small business operationsAnd one hiccup can hinder a lotThis is the first time I have ever had to do something like thisBut I knew this was the only plan of action I could take to just get the job done

The project started out going really wellIt was just after my contractor who was on the project went into a diabetic stuper and ended up passing away from his complicationsSo when that happened it was hard for me to find a replacement on short notice to fill his positionMs [redacted] assumed that I could just plug anyone in that position and be good, but that is just not the way it works in constructionOne, you just cant hire anyone off the streetAnd two, my clients have to trust me in their homeSo with that being said, I proposed to Ms [redacted] that she wouldnt owe any more on the balance, nor pay for her blinds and installation of the blindsWhich were installedShe gave me until the first of December, by that time, I knew thinhs were going to be closeMinor drywall work and minimal carpentryI proposed to her rhat we sit down and come up with a plan to get the rest of her job done and I wont keep falling behind on all these jobsA redund is not in question due to the work that has already been done and the balance I told her to keep from the blinds and rest of the work needed to be done

The matter is not resolved because no action was taken. The job remains unfinished by the business and no refund of any amount has been made. Claims by the business that "90%" of the job was complete is entirely false. In addition to the incomplete deck job, gutter work was not completed, and simple touch up of wood trim over garage door was also never completed. The deck floor boards were only laid on the top deck (not lower level). The boards that were laid, were not fitted correctly, and most importantly never cut to fit the deck (uneven edges at various lengths left and telling us they would cut the boards to fit the deck after the floor was entirely laid)No steps at all were done. Gaps were left along the houseTrim was never replaced. No railings or caps were ever ordered or placed. The trim above the garage was puttied but never sanded or painted. The gutters still have full plants growing out of them (despite us being told they were cleaned) and never repaired. This extra work (beyond the deck) also included power washing the wooden trim on the house. We have a power washer but felt a stronger industrial one was needed. This job was completed, but they did the work with OUR power washer, as theirs was broken after arriving to start that task. We have already paid 50% of total for this work also, of which less than 50% was ever completed. Telling us we have to pay even more money to help cover costs his business is down on other jobs, when we have wasted an entire Spring and Summer to get a fraction of any work done at our location is insaneOnly a fool would allow someone to continue to scam them out of money. Nothing has been resolved

Regards,

There were various projects that were going on throughout Mr***' propertyI explained to him that each project will simultaneously get finished at the same timeWhen we reached the time of when Mr***' wanted his floor refinished, we stated along with the flooring professional that
the floor should be done last due to the high amount of traffic that was going to occur during the bathroom renovationAlso, as with the bathroom being renovated, so many things were changed throughout the entire project, but I was willing to work with Mr, *** to get the various projects finishedMr *** stated that he brought other contractors in, before I could supposedly remedy any issues stating that they had to redo the workNow, in this situation, most contractors will exaggerate what work is needed to finish out the job just so they can make a tad bit more moneyContractors have a different way of going about finishing jobsAnd with the amount of jobs that were going on at onceI felt the best plan of attack was too finish these jobs at the same time due to the age of the house and time frameAlso, there was a lot material paid for by me just too keep the project goingBecause I was willing to work with Mr *** to just keep the projects goingAnother issue that arose was with the steps, Mr *** stood at the bottom of the steps when the steps were complete and verbally signed off on the steps looking goodThen, the last time I talked with Mr***, he stated the steps had to be redoneI spoke with the flooring professional who redid the steps and he stated that Mr *** was happy with the resultThere is alot of confusion here and in the end we tried to work with Mr ***. Thank youTh

Kaizen Ent started the basement renovation on or around November 5th, When the job commenced, things were going according to planWe had minor hiccups, but nothing out of the ordinary with construction jobsThe only issue with the project was the interference of the tenants father who had no
respect for my delegation of dutiesEven after telling to correspond with the owner of the project, which was me, Dave ***, he still felt compelled to ask my subcontractors questions that should have been directed towards meHe also would come over and leave these immature hints to doing the project wrongWhich I felt was cowardice instead of coming to me or calling meAlso, while I was out of town, my drywall guy let me know that the tenant would come down every minutes to see what was going onIn the field of construction, especially residential, no sub contractor likes to have anyone watching over them on a consistent basisThis is where the uncomfortableness startedIt actually started while the framing was going onEven the owner of the property gave me a heads up as to how the tenant, her boyfriend, and especially her dad were going to beBut they were by far the worst people to be around while trying to complete a project. As far as walking off the job, that is not what happenedI had a meeting with the owner of the property and I stated to her that I need to think about either continuing the project or coming to a stopping pointI emailed her within two days stating that we will be stopping the jobAnd now we are at this pointThis was back in January, we are now in April and I'm receiving this messageSupposedly she had to have the job totally redone, which I feel is due to the fact that about two weeks after stopping the job, the owner had a post on social media stating that the project was finally complete. Also, the owner kept stating that I never gave her the respectWhich I feel is terribly wrongAnd from the outside looking in, the tenants father never gave the respect as a contractorSo this goes both ways

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Dave *** was paid for 80% of the job, but only completed 20% of the workHe decided he did not want to finish the job and offered in good faith to refund the difference based on what work he had completed so I could hire a new contractorHe liedHe never had any intention of refunding my moneyInstead, he made numerous excuses. This is completely unprofessional and not a company I would ever recommend to anyone. In terms of a social media post, I was thanking my best friend for hiring a new crew to correct and complete the job that Dave walked out onThe basement was not finished until March 25thI waited to file a complaint until I had the work completed, giving Dave an opportunity to refund some of my money as he indicated he wouldDave owes me $for the work that was not completedHe was advanced money to help him out of another situation to keep his jobs moving alongNow that I am more familiar with his work ethic, I know I was just another customer who was taken advantage of

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Revdex.com, I'm not sure what Mr. [redacted] is trying to state that he has the same contracts. He never started on the contract to my addition. Not one piece of work was done for this. Mr. [redacted] can claim that he has hired a lawyer, but I highly doubt that (considering it would be much easier if he'd pay back the money he originally took from me). As for defaming my contractor's character he has done that to himself. He stole 10K and never returned to do any of the work. I am not talking about the horrible work preformed but simply the money he stole. Mr. [redacted] states the Cincinnati Police in his last email who I've involved because of the grand theft. I recently met with lawyer as well and Mr. [redacted] has had 2 similar claims filed against him within a month. Both of which he claims he'll pay back the defendant, but I'm sure they'll never see it either. I sincerely hope no one ever has to deal with this contractor in any manner. This matter is far from closed, but I hope you are able to lower Mr. [redacted] and Kaizen Enterprises rating on your cite. He is not a worthy contractor by any means. He would be much better classified as a criminal, thief, and crook.  Sincerely, [redacted]

[redacted]

There is nothing to refund. The amount paid coincided with the work performed.

The issue with my furnace installation has not been totally resolved. There is still insufficient wiring to my ac unit which can pose a fire hazard. The company never contacted me to determine if the issue was completely resolved, however there was a knowledgeable technician that came out and resolved as much as he could and was very customer service oriented. It appears to me the owner was simply not willing to rectify all of the prior issues because it would have cost him more to make it 100 percent correct. I have not received any follow up from this company so I have resolved to handle this in a more efficient manner. This company lacks any customer service skills and does not care about their clients. The hazards that were presented including a possibility of loss of life warranted follow up from this company. To this date it has not happened and I am personally hiring someone else to rectify the remaining problems. After calling countless times prior with no response I see no other way to handle this.

The issue has been resolved. We sent a licensed HVAC technician out to the property. They reinstalled the furnace to code and the furnace is running efficiently and without any issues. This project was taken care of on Monday November 2nd and fished on Tuesday Nov 3rd. Thank you.

When should I expect to have my house finished? It has been 5 months since it was supposed to be done. At this point I just want my money back so I can get someone else to finish the job becuase he obviously can't do it. I dont think I'm asking too much. He has been wasting my time and obviously hasnt put that much effort into trying to finish. All I want is the project to get finished. What do I have to do to get it done? Giving a dateline isnt working.

could just plug anyone in that position and be good, but that is just not the way it works in construction. One, you just cant hire anyone off the street. And two, my clients have to trust me in their home. So with that being said, I proposed to Ms [redacted] that she wouldnt owe any more on the balance, nor pay for her blinds and installation of the blinds. Which were installed. She gave me until the first of December, by that time, I knew thinhs were going to be close. Minor drywall work and minimal carpentry. I proposed to her rhat we sit down and come up with a plan to get the rest of her job done and I wont keep falling behind on all these jobs. A redund is not in question due to the work that has already been done and the balance I told her to keep from the blinds and rest of the work needed to be done.

since they had a balance left of a little over $2000 dollars, if they could pay for the rest of the material and we could finish the project out and they wouldn't owe anything to me since this project has gone way over. The remaining material balance was going to be around $1500. The homeowner did not want to work with me so this is why we are here now. This has nothing to do with being fraudulent, 90% of the job is complete less touch ups, etc. Being fraudulent means I took your money and didn't do anything. I'm in the process of working with one other homeowner who had no problem buying the material directly from the supplier. We are now done with her project and she is happy. I just didn't understand why the homeowner didn't want to work with me to get this job done. Its not like I owed them money, they still had a balance due. Cash flow is a major obstacle when it comes to small business operations. And one hiccup can hinder a lot. This is the first time I have ever had to do something like this. But I knew this was the only plan of action I could take to just get the job done.

That is correct that various projects were going on at the house at the same time. However, that does not excuse Mr. [redacted] from not completing a single project and dragging his feet. Toward the end of our time working together he showed up for merely an hour a day, if at all. While every project Mr. [redacted] worked on was done with the worst quality any contractor I brought in to fix his work had ever seen that is not the primary issue. The primary issue is that I paid Mr. [redacted] for two jobs which he never started. He agreed to do an addition on my house which NOT one piece to the addition was ever worked on. I can show pictures to prove this. I also paid him on a master bathroom which was NEVER started on either. Both of these projects total $10,000. I have contracts stating he would complete them by a certain date which he was no where close to. We agreed that he would pay me back the money and he sent me an email stating that he doesn’t have the money to pay back. He has done nothing to make this matter whole.Mr. [redacted] may state that he did demolition to the master bathroom and put up a wall with 2x4’s. While this was done extremely poorly, it is true. I believe Mr. [redacted] doesn’t have a lawyer, but simply states this to try and deter the actual issue. I looked into putting liens against his house to obtain the money, but his home is in his mothers name. I’m this was done on purpose, because things like this have happened in the past. It is my hope that no other customer will have to work with Mr. [redacted] and have this kind of experience, but if they do that they could review the Revdex.com ahead of time and see what kind of contractor he is.Sincerely,[redacted]
