Kaizen Progressive Health Reviews (%countItem)

I started going to Kaizen Progressive Medical towards the end of May 2019 due to good reviews. I later found out that they bribe each client to leave a 5 star review and take a picture with Dr. Steve (Steve H).??The initial problem started with excessive/unnecessary treatment. He asked that I see him 5 times a week because muscle have memory and if I don’t see that frequently, the treatment would NOT be effective. Later on, I found that this is not industry standards even under extreme injuries.??Each visit included exercise workouts (vibration plate and rotational chair and rope against the wall for neck support). Then and ONLY then I got a 5 minute adjustment and that was the end of the session.

When I first saw him, he told me Dr. Lance H will evaluate you and determine if you need injection shots but he’ll do that call. “You probably WILL need them” I quote. Anyways, sure enough, I got 4 injection shots once a week. Later on, I found that this is ONLY if body does NOT respond to treatment and a week and half in is way too early according to insurance adjusters that deal with this everyday.

I don’t recall which day it was but during one of the day, he used WAY too much force and I was hurting the whole weekend. It wasn’t permanent damage so I let that go without saying much. I just asked that goes lighter next time.

I got 3 massage sessions because that was necessary to relax the muscle and make his work effective.

At the end of June, he was closing his office for remodel and his staff was rude to me and I was like I am not liking this after a WHOLE month. I went to another Chiropractor and he diagnosed me completely different. He actually WORKED on me the whole time and it was only TWICE a week and then went down to ONCE a week. The adjustor from Root insurance told me that this is normal and that’s what it should have been all along.

Both insurance companies flagged him down for internal investigation for over treatment and excessive charges. I am not a medical expert but I know when something is going wrong.

I ask to be reimbursed the entire fee that Dr Steve got plus whatever the board sees fit for damages (time, prolonged treatment, etc)

The car damage were very minimal but muscles were strained and it didn’t help that he hardly worked on my body. I was later told that vibration plates are for disc injuries but I am not medical expert. So I ask the WHOLE file be reviewed and determine any misconduct and fraud that might have occurred.

Thanks for your help during this process. One VERY important piece of information I forgot to include is I had a phone conversation tell me he charges THREE times Medicare to negotiate down and get a fair amount. He mentioned this is a “GAME” and you have to ask as much as you can. So initial he made it seem he’s ok with a THIRD of the amount and he charged a total of $12,252.93 and he got paid $4,308.80. This is a little bit more than a third but he is not happy. He then on the phone told me he would settle for HALF the amount but I want to see what settlement you get. Then today, I am like look this is a small accident so would you give me a letter of PAID IN FULL and he said no I can’t do that. He’s like I need to see the entire detail because I been screwed over way too many times. I told the insurance company this and they said that’s weird that his payment is based on your settlement. He told insurance company he only works with lawyers because he gets paid more. It doesn’t seem right. This is NOT first party claims but this is what the insurance company told me.

Thanks and please add this to the file because it further shows that he wants the MAXIMUM out of insurance. He even told me you have to milk the system to get everything you can out of those people. It doesn’t sound right.

The insurance companies are investigating the entire case but they can’t provide me details of anything they are doing because it’s confidential.

To summarize, its Insurance Fruad, Misdiagnosis, Incorrect Billing and Unnecessary Treatment.
