Review: Had purchased 2 phones with Kajeet - one for son one for daughter with service for several years.. Son broke his phone and hadn't been working for over a year. As both were wanting the iPhone for Chrismas / Birthday had contacted Kajeet to purchase / upgrade new phones, but advised they didn't have them thus had cancelled the accounts in December and purchaed new iPhones through Verison. As daugher wanted to have the same phone number, worked with Kajeet to have her Kajeet Phone number transferred to the Verison phone.
However, realized today that Kajeet has been charging my [redacted] a reoccuring bill since January for service we are no longer have.
Contacted Kajeet and spoke with Louis. He advised only my son's account got cancelled in December and proceeded to cancel my Daughters account and advised I would not be refunded the $311.99 for her service. Explained that the Kajeet phone number was transferred to Verizon, with their help, therefore Kajeet can't be charging for a service on a phone number they don't even have anymore. Was advised they could open a ticket - but that's all they can do. The ticke number is APP [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund of the $311.99 billed in error.
Review: Dozens of phone calls to correct calling plan have not resolved the issue.
Employees promise to call back to trouble shoot the problem - they do not call back.
Returning calls to any particular employee is impossible - every employee insists on "fixing" the problem and none of them have fixed it. Nor will they transfer my call to a manager.
Calls to corporate headquarters in Maryland were not returned, either.Desired Settlement: Fix the phone calling/ texting features.
Review: Sure, in the fine print, it says that funds transferred to an electronic "wallet" are non-refundable. But it's money that was never used. The service was sub-par, we decided to cancel the service.Desired Settlement: We put the money in, I can't see why we shouldn't be able to get the money back. Their "policy" is that they won't do that. Their policy also states that they won't refund monthly fees, but they waived that "policy" for me. This one makes even more sense.
Review: The website www.kajeet .com offered cell phone service for kids, with "strong parental controll options", as well as no "contract service" through [redacted] phone service. Kajeet claimed I could bring any sprint device and turn it on. I ordered 2 re-ferbished phones, that were listed on the website through a third party. Both phones have been checked through [redacted], and are eligable for service, but not at the prices that Kajeet offered. I cant Contact Kajeet, and [redacted] has no idea that Kajeet is offering this phone service as well as having no record of any existing services as a partner with Kajeet. I have These 2 phones that I have purchased, and Kajeet is apparently not affiliated in any way with sprint. The website www.kajeet.com when entered into the search engine states: this webside is no longer available/or states: " Be right back we are currently updating this websight come back soon and check out all the cool things we'ver added". In addition, [redacted] is looking into the matter. I spoke with 5 [redacted] represenatives today including [redacted]. These interactions (gowing all the way up through the management chain), got me no-where, and took 3 hours to end up with No results. All of the representatives I spoke with have no idea who or what Kajeet is, and they assure me that they have no affiliation with this company even though the [redacted] Logo is all over the website.Desired Settlement: I plan to continue this matter with a Lawyer, and will be assisting [redacted] with any information they may need from me (with regard to Kajeet), to persue this matter in a court of Law.

Response:
Good morning,
Our office reached out to [redacted] to address her concerns. Unfortunantely, [redacted] called while our office was closed and viewed our website while in a maintanence window. Also, kajeet is a reseller of [redacted] services which was understood when speaking with here. In all, were about to get her phones activated and working on our service.
Thank you,
Review: I purchased a [redacted] device and verified it on the Kajeet website as being eligible for their service. I activated the phone and the agent was unable to get the phone service working. After spending a long time working with the technician, they elevated the ticket. Within a few days, the phone was able to make and receive calls on occasion (not consistently). The phone was not able to send and receive text messages and would only send a receive group messages when connected on wifi. the phone could not connect to cellular data.
After several tickets over the first few days, we decided to look into another carrier. The technician was finally able to get the data working and the phone worked sporadically for the next 2 days. We switched providers and the new carrier ported the number into their plan. We did not have any calling issues or data issues with the new provider and have been happy with the new provider's service.
I was shocked to get my credit card bill showing a $28 charge for an entire month of service. I was never told that I was pre-paying for service and if I cancelled after 1 day I still would pay for the entire month. This is very deceptive. Now, even after requesting a refund and speaking with customer service I have been denied a credit. They state that they are pre-paid (which is not clear on their website). They advertise their plans similar to other carriers and when you leave normal carriers, you pay only for the days of service used. In my case, I only had the service promised for 2 days! I am extremely disappointed and angry that they will not credit my account. I plan to file a dispute with my credit card company and will continue to file complaints against them with the appropriate consumer protection groups as I believe this is a fraudulent practice. I only cancelled because I was not provided with cellualr service as promised. The reason I have a cell phone for my child is that I need them to reach me when needed. With Kajeet, the service was not reliable and she could only text when she was on wifi. this is not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I would like to have $28 refunded to my credit card.

Fwd: Complaint #: [redacted]
Review: On July 6 I received this email text from Kajeet with regard to my son's cell phone service: We are sorry to see that [redacted]'s device (phone number: [redacted]) is no
longer in service. If you had not intended to deactivate your service, please call Customer Care at [redacted]kajeet (###-###-####) to reactivate your device
now!
I called Kajeet and the representative indicated that I had authorized his cell number to be ported to another carrier. I had not done anything. This was an error that had nothing to do with me. The customer service person was not very helpful. He didn't seem to believe that I had not authorized this. His only solution was to give my son (who had the number for 4 years) another number. When I finally agreed to this, he told me the new number had failed because my son's phone information was also ported out (or something). Finally, the representative indicated that all he could do was offer me a new phone at 30% off.
I spent the next few days trying to resolve this on my own. Apparently, another cell company ([redacted]) had taken the number and assigned it to a new customer. After many phone calls I got someone from [redacted] ([redacted]; phone: ###-###-####) to "resolve" the issue. He indicated he had returned the number to my carrier and all they had to do was grab it and activate it in their system. According to my service provider (Kajeet) this was not true.
I have now contacted Kajeet approximately ?7 times and [redacted] 6 times and this issue remains unresolved. I have another account with Kajeet and am still paying for my son's phone service, even though he doesn't have either a phone number or cell phone service.
So far Kajeet has done little to assist me in correcting this error that either Kajeet or [redacted] caused. They seem unwilling to contact [redacted] directly to have this matter resolved.
Please help.
Thanks,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: Please find a way to retrieve my son's number and put it back in service. I also expect a credit on the service during the time that it's not been available due to this issue.
Review: We purchased a pre-paid Samsung cell phone through Kajeet. We paid for 2 day FedEx shipping along with this phone order. The phone was:
- a) sent to Massachusetts rather than Arizona despite our confirmation letter from Kajeet showing an AZ delivery address.
- b) broken when we received it; it automatically turned off all the time.
When calling to report issue a, the customer service rep refused to refund our shipping or order that had been sent clearly to the wrong address. Our resolution was to PAY OUT OF OUR OWN pockets to have the phone overnighted from MA to AZ.
When said phone arrived in AZ and it was broken, I was told that it just needed to be programmed. After hours on the phone with the customer service rep, he determined and yes, it was in fact broken. They would issue me a new phone, but refused to pay for overnight or 2 day shipping, that expense would be mine and mine alone. It took me over an hour to have them cancel my account completely as they were refusing to do so. Finally, the account was closed. According to Kajeet, the credit cards have been refunded but our credit companies have not seen any sort of credit from Kajeet. Kajeet claims this is the credit company's fault but I highly doubt is as they have yet to show efforts to refund service or money to us at this point.Desired Settlement: I'd like my credit card refunded and I would like shipping charges refunded also as it was in no way my fault that the product was sent clear across the country to the wrong address.
Review: I purchased a refurbished Kajeet phone for my daughter which had a battery malfunction. The phone was sent back and a replacement was mailed out. After a couple of days that phone had the same exact problem. After talking with a customer service rep I decided to send that phone back and purchase a brand new phone of a different manufacture. After a week that phone malfunctioned as well and was sent back. I have only received money back for the second phone. It has been over a month and Kajeet refuses to refund my money for the original phone. I have been on the phone with numerous costumer reps and nothing is has been done. I also have proof of deliver and confirmation that the items were returned.Desired Settlement: I believe they should acknowledge the fact that they are negligent on their end and refund my money immediately. I DO NOT WANT NOR SHOULD I HAVE TO WAIT ANY ADDITIONAL DAYS!!!!

Response:
Hello,
Upon reviewing our records, credit was applied for both orders. There were 2 orders placed, each with a different card number. Our system provides credit to original purchasers card. [redacted] confirmed card used on the order in question belongs to another party. She will have to confirm with purchaser that credit was recieved.
Thank you,

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have also reviewed the account to which the credit was applied and it was. My only issue was that it took over 30 days to apply the credit which would normally only take 7-10 days, and the customer service reps weren't professional in handling the situation.
Regards,
Review: I tried calling customer service for a refund for my 2 phones but they wouldnt let me get a refund.Desired Settlement: I want all the money that I paid for 2 phones back.
Review: The website said first month is free. I was having problems figuring out what cell phone plan to choose. I chose my plan then I made a change, next thing I know they took out $67.50. They gave me back $24.39 . The balance was $ 43.11. I was not happy because the 1st month was supposed to be free.Desired Settlement: To get out of this company all together.

Response:
Hello -
Our team reached out to [redacted] to address her concerns with our "First Month Free" promotion. On our website it stated the First FULL month would be free. [redacted] did receive her first free month by selecting her desired plan, however, she changed the plan several times which resulted in her card being charged.
After speaking with [redacted] it was understood how her card was charged. As a courtesy, a credit was applied for the inconvenience which was satisfactory for the customer.
Thank you,

Review: I've had a plan with Kajeet for several months.
My 7 year has their phone for emergency calls to parents and grandparents only. However, he has been getting phone calls from all over the country. I've set up the contact manager multiple times and verified that only those on the list can contact him via calls or text yet the blocked calls continue to arrive. The phone service has cut out multiple times even though both the child's and parents wallet were full. The last time I called to speak to customer service they asked my security question and after I gave them the correct answer they then asked me to give them my private password. I refused to disclose my password and asked the operator if he could see it on his end. He said, "no sir I cannot see your password, but in order to continue you need to tell me your password." I refused and asked for a supervisor. Augustine the operator then tried to tell me that he would not give me a supervisor without first getting my private password. I have never been asked to disclose my private password before. There is a very good reason why your passwords are encrypted and unrecoverable. No legitimate company would expect you to hand over your password over the phone. If I had forgot my password the best they could do is send me a new one because your password is private, encrypted, and not visible to others.
The Kajeet service does not provide the protection for your children that it advertises and will not protect your personal information.Desired Settlement: I want them to talk to me without demanding that I disclose my encryption protected password that they have absolutely no business asking for over the phone.
