My teenage son is gearing up for his 2nd degree black belt test and injured himself practicing. His muscles were tight and painful. After a visit with his pediatrician, she diagnosed him with a "pulled low back muscle." Treatment was rest, ice, and ibuprofen. That did little to help his pain and stop the spasms he was having. We brought him in to see Alicia and she not only "loosened" up the area, but she explained to him how the area gets injured and what you can do to prevent it. She gave him some simple stretches to do that can help alleviate the stress to the area injured. The day after the massage, he felt much better and was able to bend again!
