Kalikwest Media Group Reviews (1)

Review: Company failed to complete website development per executed contract and payment was made. Company failed to deliver service in a timely manner.

[redacted] (**) entered into contract with Kalikwest (KK) on 5/8/13 for website development. Executed contract documents the following services that are still not working as of 11/14/13 after ** made multiple attempts to work with Kalikwest to get them working. 1. Add Ecommerce Ability using Ultracart - after the contract was signed KK convinced [redacted] to go with Magento eCommerce stating it was a better system and could do everything Ultracart could do. Magento eCommerce was implemented and the website launched 8/1/13 after missing the 6/20/13 deadline. The shopping cart still does not take online orders. [redacted] has suffered loss of online sales since 8/11/13. Credit card processing does not work. Shipping configuration does not work. Products for sale were not configured with correct dimensions and weights. Customer data is incomplete and was incorrectly imported. 2. Add Current Dealer List - Store Locator was added but was not working when site went live. Customer complaints came in stating their name was no longer listed. Several requests by email were sent. ** solicited additional resources to solve the problem. It was discovered that a file was not added. After the solicited contractor contacted help center and loaded the file the Store Locator started working again. 3. Add Blog page in Wordpress - blog page was not added in Wordpress and after the site was built [redacted] was informed that this was not possible without additional fees. 4. Integrate with Drop Shipping - during the testing drop shipping to warehouse received orders. After the site went live the drop shipping warehouse did not receive the orders. Several emails were sent stating no orders were being received and as of November 14, 2013 are still not being received. No help was offered to get this fixed. The answer was that it was tested and worked. Website was not properly visible and online shopping was not working on a MAC since go live and this was reported again with a screenshot on 10/9/13 with a response saying that their business uses a MAC and it is seen fine. Then on 10/16/13 was told they found the problem dealing with fonts and that they will work to fix the problem. No training for CMS was ever provided as promised. After we went live on 8/11/13 several emails were sent listing urgent problems. Emails went unanswered. Requests for phone calls were made and declined for over a month. Full payment by direct deposit was required in order to go live. [redacted] requested a refund for incomplete work and it was declined. ** was advised that they were over budget prior to go live date. Response after site went live stopped. On 10/16/13 the following email was sent from ** "[redacted] and I had a call this morning to try and get to the bottom of the problems with our non functioning online store. The website store has not been able to take or process orders and send them to our warehouse since we launched, and the website has not been view able on a MAC computer since we launched. The call was not successful. My advisor [redacted] was also on the call trying to learn how to make the necessary changes so we could be operational again. We were logged into Bluehost during the call, and asked to be navigated to the products page(s) on bluehost so we could go in and make changes. Remy could not navigate us there and he said he did not know where the files were and furthermore told us it was our job to find the files ourselves. I have poured hours and hours into this project and have utilized other resources who specialize in website development to help me and still haven't been able to fix things. I am asking that a complete refund, in the amount of $4800.00, be issued today or I will be filing a lawsuit tomorrow. If I have to file a lawsuit, I will also be including loss of time, resources, and thousands in sales for the past 2 and half months. I need to hear from you by the end of today. No response to email or voicemail.Desired Settlement: [redacted] is requesting that $4800 less $1500 for graphic design be refunded immediately. Graphic design was received and approved by **.
