Kamy Dental

Review: I moved to a new city and needed to find a dentist. I received a flyer in my mailbox from Kamy Dental advertising a full dental exam and full mouth x-ray for $29.00 . I walked in and confirmed the advertisement with [redacted]. I filled out the necessary paperwork and went in for my exam. I was told at the end of the exam that I needed nearly $3000.00 worth of work done. I was sitting at the desk going over the paperwork with one of the office personnel. I took out my credit card and asked her to charge me for that days visit. She didn't answer me then proceeded to asked me what I wanted to do about the work. I replied , " I need to check how much my insurance covers before I schedule." She said that if I had the insurance information with me that she could look up the prices for me. I agreed to that. Approximately 15 minutes later I got a print up from her showing how much was covered by my plan and how much I was responsible for. At the bottom of page 2, I noticed that she put that days visit through my dental insurance. I told her that I didn't want to do that because I have a high deductible and I wanted to shop around. She then told me that she had already put my insurance information through the system and it voided the $29.00 visit for the day. She charged $217.00 towards my plan for the visit which means I now have to pay a $50.00 deductible. I have to wait for 2015 to finish anything not done this year because it exceeds my maximum for the year. The longer I wait, more damage is done which just costs even more in the future.Desired Settlement: I only want to pay them $29.00 for that days visit and for them to withdraw any claims towards my insurance.
