Kapaa Nail & Tanning Salon

I have never been to a tanning salon before and have no experience using a tanning bed. I purchased a tanning package at this salon for the first time ever. The person working there never offered eye protection (although the salon sells eye protection for a nominal fee), gave insufficient instructions regarding the use of the tanning bed, and did not check on me the entire time I was there. When I voiced my concern about the lack of protective eyewear and poor instructions, the owner refused to honor the balance of my tanning package and informed me that she did not want to have anyone back to the salon who did not have a good experience. Not once did she apologize for the poor customer service or concur that protective eyewear should have been offered to me. Poor customer service aside, stricter laws for tanning salons should be enacted, and tanning salons should be licensed. Owners like Justine H[redacted] should be better trained and made aware of the potential liability for negligence.
