Review: This is with reference to problem with my Garage Door.

I bought the brand new Home from Builder in July, 2014 and moved in Aug 2014. I had the warranty for one year till Sep, 2015 from the builder.

My garage door suddenly stopped working in Oct, 2015. It would not operate at all. I called the builder to inform him about the issue. The builder mentioned to contact the Manufacturer directly for Garage repair as I was out of one year builder warrant few weeks back.

I called the Manufacturer ‘Overhead doors’. The technician came to repair my garage door in Oct, 2015. He found that the garage door electricals were not installed as per manufacturer specs. He mentioned that the power cord was not an original one and also there was an extra part fitted on my garage unit. Due to this Manufacturer warranty is void and they would not cover any damages. My main garage Unit need to be replaced as per them.

I mentioned this to builder. Builder is not ready to repair and take the responsibility of the garage door Unit. I would like to mention that I never had an issue and never needed to make any changes to the garage unit. It’s been only few weeks that I came out of one year builder warranty. The Garage door Unit was installed incorrectly by the builder from the start. I come to know about this only after Manufacturer came for repair.Desired Settlement: R Replace my Garage door under warranty with original Manufacturer specifications. Also need further warranty from the builder

Review: The issues raised in the new home after 3 months and 12 months not resolved. The company is totally negleced the customer after closing of the new home. Contact customer service hell number of times to rectify the issues. This is not fair. I am planning to complaint to the local mayor and Governor also. I am totally un happy with the serivce.Desired Settlement: I want to complete all the issues immediately.

Review: Builder (Kaplan companies) is not providing me the written accounting as per the contract. I supposed to close the property which I went into the contract with the builder, but I opted not to close it since the property was vandalized badly prior to the closing. I was not satisfied with the builder interms of the paper work provided after the vandalisim and so I turned it down. Builder went ahead and managed to sell the property to another buyer at a higher price. as per the contract, the builder is obligated to provide me the written accounting in this case and refund my deposit monies accordingly. I tried on numerous occassions requesting the builder to provide me the written accounting per the contract, but no answer, I left with no choice other than reaching out for your help.
