We have been in contact with the customer in regards to her concernWe currently have her vehicle at a mechanic trying to resolve the problemWe are updating her regularly with the status of the car and hope to have the vehicle fixed and issues resolved by next weekThanks

If you pay attention to the dates on this complaint, you will quickly see that we as a dealer have done nothing wrong in this situation. As *** said, he bought a truck in January ( yrs ago) and it did indeed pass the safety inspection by a licensed, 3rd party technicianHad it not
passed, we would had never been able to register the truckAt the time of sale, the ball joints were obviously fine and did passWe never claimed the truck to have brand new joints at the time of sale, because it is a used vehicleHowever, they did indeed pass an inspectionThey don't have to be new to pass. One year later, *** had the vehicle inspected again, as is required by state law, and at that time ( one year later), they no longer passed. For a vehicle to pass an inspection one year and fail the following year is perfectly normal, otherwise why would the state require inspections every year. A truck can have brake pads that pass one year and then get worn down after a year of driving and fail the next. Same with tires, lights, wipers, and so forth. As *** mentioned, he did come to us year later and out of good will, we arranged to get his ball joints fixed at MB auto at a dealer discounted rate just to try and helpThe vehicle WAS indeed fixed and ball joints were replaced despite ***'s accusations that they were not and he was scammed. Why in the world would both Kapp Auto and MB auto put our entire businesses on the line to try and steal dollars from him. We take great offense to this claim and find it absolutely ridiculous. As for the new ball joints failing one year after install, that is between him and MB auto, but from the response from ***, sounds like MB auto has willingly stepped in to warranty them at zero cost to ***So I don't really understand the complaint and we are not really sure why *** is wanting a refund of the dollars he paid last year. Had the ball joints not been warrantied, I could see the grounds for the complaint, but is it being warrantied and he isn't paying any new expenses out of pocket. As for his time off work, again his original complaint about the ball joints was year after purchase and it has now been years since the purchase. We did not manufacture the ball joints, nor install them on his vehicle, therefore why should we be at any fault for his time off work. I stand by MB auto and there willingness to warranty the ball jointsThey are a great mechanic and I guess it would be up to them to offer any sort of compensation for his time off. However, there isn't any sort of mechanical warranty on any vehicle, whether it be parts or labor, that reimburses someone for time off work. Brand new vehicles with less than 10k miles go in for warranty work all the time and whether or not it effects the customers work schedule has nothing to do with any warranty. In summary, Kapp Auto Sales feels they are at no fault in any of these claims that have been made. We did everything we were supposed to when the vehicle was sold and when concerns were brought up year later, we did everything we could to step in and make the situation right

RevDex.com:Colt K*** has went above and beyond to try to get to the bottom of what was causing the catalytic converter to go outHe took the vehicle to two different mechanics (one being at a Suzuki service department) in order to take care of meHe kept me apprised everydayThey are installing the new part today and that should resolve the issueI would like to add that I feel if I would have communicated better with Colt after his mechanic had it the last time, he would have taken care of the issue without me having to go this routeI was very frustrated and felt like this was the best resort I will take some responsibility for not contacting Colt after I left his mechanic I just had some bad luck with the vehicle and other than the catalytic converter this was a great experience When buying any vehicle used or new things can go wrong and I feel that both stores are honest in their dealingsThe K***s are good people and I would send my family and friends to themMy son-in-law bought a truck from there a couple weeks ago and was treated very fair and had a great experience
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Bureau:Colt K[redacted] has went above and beyond to try to get to the bottom of what was causing the catalytic converter to go out. He took the vehicle to two different mechanics (one being at a Suzuki service department) in order to take care of me. He kept me apprised everyday. They are installing the new part today and that should resolve the issue. I would like to add that I feel if I would have communicated better with Colt after his mechanic had it the last time, he would have taken care of the issue without me having to go this route. I was very frustrated and felt like this was the best resort.  I will take some responsibility for not contacting Colt after I left his mechanic.  I just had some bad luck with the vehicle and other than the catalytic converter this was a great experience.  When buying any vehicle used or new things can go wrong and I feel that both stores are honest in their dealings. The K[redacted]s are good people and I would send my family and friends to them. My son-in-law bought a truck from there a couple weeks ago and was treated very fair and had a great experience.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
