I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.We did inquire about pricing and options however placed no orders or confirmation of additional servicesWe paid for the aforementioned agreed services but to have our lawn “look like the neighbors” we ordered seed from where they ordered their seedThat seed was spread to do our overseeding in OctoberClearly we wouldn’t have agreed to purchase anything and then spend the money and have it done prior to Kapps coming out.I appreciate he’s been doing his job for years but that doesn’t change that he made an error and wants us to pay for itI’ve attached a couple of screenshots from other complaints found on the company’s profile where they’ve done this to othersNo order placed or contract agreed to or even notified to cancel service yet they perform a service bill the customer and turn them to collections if they don’t pay for the service they haven’t requestedIt’s a scam that they use and I’m not going to be their next victimThe only resolution is that they apologize for their error, mark the bill paid in full and never return to our property again for any reason

In response to the response by kapps lawn Your response says a manager was out on 9-7- I was home all day and no one knocked at my door or tried to call me anytime that day I can assure you that no attempt was made to call me as my number is my cell phone and I would have had a missed call In addition, you stated that weeds were dying in the back yard If you review my account you'll note the my application was for the front and side yards It has been like that for three yearsThe back yard has never been part of my plan so i'm not sure why the service manage was looking in my back yard You also stated that I called and said "if we ever step foot on his lawn again he doesn't know what he will do" I called and stated that I would call the police if you step foot on my lawn after It was clear to me that you were not going to respond to my calls and could care less that you billed me for a service that you did not perform There is a big difference in those statements I don"t appreciate the libelous statement by this company I accept the cancelation of my account and credit for the last bill. December 20, 2017In response to case #***We were contacted via email on June 5, for a quote on lawn maintenance plus tree trimmingThe estimate was measured over satellite imagery, Mrs stated the lawn was just seededThe program was sold for fertilizer and weed control, plus a house base
insecticideOn June 15, my assistant manger went out to perform these services upon arrival he notified me that the lawn had straw on it still so I told him not to treat the lawn but to go ahead and do complete the house base insecticideThe homeowners wanted to meet after that to discuss a treatment plan to get the lawn looking like their neighbors lawn that we treatWe attempted on July 5th, 6th, and 7, to schedule the meeting, after those attempts I personally drove to the property to make necessary notes to follow up with them.In late July I was able to speak with Mr***, I explained everything in detail about what was needed to get the lawn looking good, At that time I sold Mr*** our step application and noted not to do until September and also sold him step and account was noted on this step to call ahead to see how seed was doing, Also during this conversation Mr*** agreed to the dormant seed for $because this was the lesser cost of seeding options at the timeThe reason to call before step was only to check on the seed from June and if Mr wanted to add the Aeration Overseeding which was double the costWhen the service was first sold no request was made to call ahead before steps therefore no calls were made before any other applications only on step for that reason onlyI have worked for this company for plus years and take great pride in my attention to detail.We performed all services as discussed on 8/2/per Mr*** and myselfI have all the notes written down from our conversation.Lawn program was originally sold 6/5/17Lawn program was on hold 6/15/due to new seedHouse base insecticide was sold 6/13/17Steps $ 6(being a call ahead) and DO sold 8/2/

Mr*** called into our office on 3/17/to sign up for our serviceHe spoke with a customer service representative to sign up for lawn care, our service is a step program and were offering a special of 50% off the first and last
application, at the time of the conversation the customer is made aware that in order to receive the 50/special it is for the full step program, Mr *** also signed up for Flea and Tick applications in addition to the lawn programWe are not sure where the confusion came in but when Mr*** received his confirmation letter he felt this was too much money and we pulled a bait and switch on him at this time he demanded we send his check back to him and we told him we would send it back as soon as we received it in the officeThe check was an electronic check requested from the bank so it can take up to weeks for us to receive the check in our office by mail from the bankMr ***’s check was sent back the day we received it he was not charged anything and no services were rendered we canceled out his account and sent back check like he requested.Thank you Kapps Green Lawn

Dear *** ***In response to complaint ID of ***On 09/01/I was in receipt of a complaint initiated by Mr.At that time, I printed out a service order for my service manager to check for signs of the application being doneIt ts customary to wait a few extra days to insure weeds could
have enough time to show signs of decline, from being sprayedThis has been proven to be the best and easiest way to tellFertilizer is not always easy to tell depending on the lawnAt times motorized equipment is used , which in turn, makes tire tracks easy to seeThis was not the case with this particular application, as using a push spreader tends to leave much smaller tine tracks.My service manager visited the property on 09/07/2016, and noticed weeds dying in the back yardMy Service Manager then returned the order to me to follow up with Mr later that dayI was unable to make contact the same day, but planned a follow up call the very next dayOn 09/08/I was informed Mrcalled the office threatening ’'if we ever step foot on his lawn again he doesn't know what he will do," At that point I informed my office to credit the application and considered the matter closed.I would love, and encourage an opportunity to meet directly with Mr to discuss his lawn and how we can resolve any outstanding issuesAs he stated we've serviced his lawn for years with no issuesThis is an unusual occurrence.Thank You,Scott M** Branch Manager
