Have received check for $51.28 from Kapp's Lawn.[redacted]

+1

Mr. [redacted] called into our office on 3/17/16 to sign up for our service. He spoke with a customer service representative to sign up for lawn care, our service is a 6 step program and were offering a special of 50% off the first and last...

application, at the time of the conversation the customer is made aware that in order to receive the 50/50 special it is for the full 6 step program, Mr [redacted] also signed up for 3 Flea and Tick applications in addition to the lawn program. We are not sure where the confusion came in but when Mr. [redacted] received his confirmation letter he felt this was too much money and we pulled a bait and switch on him at this time he demanded we send his check back to him and we told him we would send it back as soon as we received it in the office. The check was an electronic check requested from the bank so it can take up to 2 weeks for us to receive the check in our office by mail from the bank. Mr [redacted]’s check was sent back the day we received it he was not charged anything and no services were rendered we canceled out his account and sent back check like he requested.Thank you Kapps Green Lawn

In response to  the response by kapps lawn.  Your response says a manager was out on 9-7-2016.  I was home all day and no one knocked at my door or tried to call me anytime that day.  I can assure you that no attempt was made to call me as my number is my cell phone and I would have had a missed call.   In addition, you stated that weeds were dying in the back yard.  If you review my account you'll note the my application was for the front and side yards.  It has been like that for three years. The back yard has never been part of my plan so i'm not sure why the service manage was looking in my back yard.  You also stated that I called and said "if we ever step foot on his lawn again he doesn't know what he will do".  I called and stated that I would call the police if you step foot on my lawn after It was clear to me that you were not going to respond to my calls and could care less that you billed me for a service that you did not perform.  There is a big difference in those statements.  I don"t appreciate the libelous statement by this company.   I accept the cancelation of my account and credit for the last bill.   Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Dear [redacted]In response to complaint ID of [redacted]On 09/01/16 I was in receipt of a complaint initiated by Mr.At that time, I printed out a service order for my service manager to check for signs of the application being done. It ts customary to wait a few extra days to insure weeds could...

have enough time to show signs of decline, from being sprayed. This has been proven to be the best and easiest way to tell. Fertilizer is not always easy to tell depending on the lawn. At times motorized equipment is used , which in turn, makes tire tracks easy to see. This was not the case with this particular application, as using a push spreader tends to leave much smaller tine tracks. My service manager visited the property on 09/07/2016, and noticed weeds dying in the back yard. My Service Manager then returned the order to me to follow up with Mr later that day. I was unable to make contact the same day, but planned a follow up call the very next day. On 09/08/2016 I was informed Mr. called the office threatening ’'if we ever step foot on his lawn again he doesn't know what he will do," At that point I informed my office to credit the application and considered the matter closed.I would love, and encourage an opportunity to meet directly with Mr to discuss his lawn and how we can resolve any outstanding issues. As he stated we've serviced his lawn for 3 years with no issues. This is an unusual occurrence.Thank You,Scott M** Branch Manager

Review: Revdex.com[redacted]Dear Sirs and/or Madams:I am writing to register my complaint and to express my extreme displeasure with Kapps Green Lawn ([redacted]; phone [redacted]) who applied an Early Spring Application of Fertilizer and Pre-E Crabgrass Control on our lawn this morning while we were out. We did not subscribe to these services last year, nor did we subscribe to these services this year, so their assumption of our continuing from year to year is not a basis upon which they could proceed with this application against our wishes. On their recent sales call to solicit flea and tick lawn treatment we stated that we did not want this service and we stated during this phone call that we would not be using Kapps services again this year. We have been using another service for our lawn both last year and this year, so that their Early Spring Application duplicated our previous application service on March 25, 2014. I spoke with their office this morning upon learning of their application and they stated I was responsible for the charges on the invoice they put on our front door. I wrote to them about my displeasure in their application and billing and stated to them if there are problems with our lawn as a result of this double application for early spring, I would hold them responsible for the damage(s) incurred.Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Refund for services not requested: $43.87An apology for assuming I wanted their services,Their responsibility for potential or realized damages.

APRIL 15,2014

Review: This is my third year of having kapps spray my lawn with no issues. On 8/29/2016 I came home and found a bill in my door for application of fertilizer and weed killer. I was at the store and only gone for an hour. I noticed there was no sign of anything done with the lawn. Typically I can smell the fertilizer and see buggy tracks used to apply the liquid and/or see the grains in the grass. I saw none of this on 8/29/2016. I watched the lawn for a few days and noticed that none of the weeds were dying and the grass growth didn't increase as usual after an application. On 9/1/2016 I called Kapps and told them what I found and they said a manager would call me back or come out to look at the lawn. 5 days later I still had not heard anything. I called back the next day and told them I was going to cancel my service if I didn't hear back by the end of the day. I didn't hear anything and called the next day to cancel my service.. Im obviously not going to pay the bill left on my door as no lawn service was provided that day and this is essentially stealing from customers. As a note the technician name on the bill was not the same as the one that had been doing my lawn in the past.Desired Settlement: Not paying for service not provided and want others to beware of the business practices of this company.

Review: I requested only half of my yard to be treated, but Kapp's didnt follow my orders and treated almost the entire yard and charged me for more than I requested. They also promised customer satisfaction but when I complained about the quality of their service, they didnt offer any solutions or credits. They kept saying someone would call me back but that never happened either. When I held back on my payment, they threatened me with a collection agency and attacking my credit so I just paid the bill.Desired Settlement: I request that my payment be refunded in full.

Review: This company sent me a bill of $36.92 for a lawn treatment that I had not asked for in the year of 2014. When I called them to settle the issue, they told me that the service has been done because I used their service in 2012 and 2013. I tried to tell them that despite having used it in the previous years, I did not ask for this service in 2014, nor do I want it, but they became very rude and they even threatened to put it on my credit report.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay the $36.92 for the lawn service which I had not asked for this year. It will be greatly appreciated if you can cancel the bill, thus settling this issue. Thank you.

This is our second year with Kapps. It feels like you are walking on thick pile carpet when you walk through our yard. Not a weed or dandelion in sight. We couldn't be more please with the service we receive from Kapps. The office staff are polite and knowledgeable. We will continue to give them our business.

Review: called in to complain about there weed control did not even last a month. Talked to [redacted] the local mamager & said I was not entitled to a guarentee since I did not have a 6 time year service . THERE PRODUCT SHOULD LAST AT LEAST A MONTH. They would not come out to look at unless I PAID AGAIN . would not recommend them to anyone . Been loyal comstomer for years with same tech treating my yard & not a problem before. This time a different tech treated it & within a month worse weeds than ever like not weed control at all.Desired Settlement: want retreated

Review: Received mailer from Kapps offering 50% off first and last lawn fertilizer application. On 3/17/16, called # on mailer, talked to Jamie. She confirmed contents of mailer, and , gave me a price of $51.82 for weed/feed/tick application if I prepayed. She stated application would probably start middle of following week, i.e. 3/23-3/24. Sent electronic check through bank to arrive 3/24/16. On 3/24/16, received bill for $272.48 for 5-6 application plan. There was no mention of this stipulation in their mailer, their website, or my conversation with Jamie at the [redacted] address. Called [redacted] phone number, [redacted], and talked to Kristi on 3/25/16. She states that discount only applies to 5-6 applications per season and pre-paying $272.48. Told her there was no such stipulation in mailer or their website. I stated I felt this was a bait and switch scheme and demanded they send my check back to me. She stated she would, but that remains to be seen. Do not know if I can stop payment on it.Desired Settlement: They be listed as having undesireable business/advertising practices!
