1-4-17   To Whom It May Concern,     This letter is Kaptains Plumbing response to [redacted] complaint.   On September 20, 2016 Kaptains Plumbing met [redacted] at his rental property to give a quote on plumbing work that needed to be done. He was provided a proposal for the work prescribed. [redacted] later rejected the proposal and was going to move in a different direction.   October 26, 2016, Kaptains Plumbing received an email containing a “Request for Rebid” in which the scope of work was reduced about 50%.   November 5, 2016 Kaptains Plumbing emailed a second proposal to [redacted] which he excepted and sent a check for the full balance. A verbal start date was set for November 21, 2016.   When [redacted]’s check arrived it was made out improperly and could not be cashed. [redacted] sent a second check. With this delay the first verbal start date would not be achieved. However, we agreed to start the following Tuesday, November 29, 2016.    Monday, November 28, 2016, Kaptains Plumbing contacted [redacted] to let him know we would be onsite the following day. At this time [redacted] asked Kaptains Plumbing to not start the job yet. The electric was not completed and secondly he would be in Indiana on Tuesday December 13, 2016 (over 2 weeks later). He wanted to meet onsite and change the scope of work.   Sunday December 11, 2016 Kaptains Plumbing contacted [redacted] to confirm our appointment for Tuesday morning 9AM. At this time [redacted] responded he would have to reschedule for he would not be in town until Wednesday night, December 14, 2016.   Once again, Kaptains Plumbing changed our schedule to suit [redacted]’s very late notices and cancellations.   We finally met onsite Friday December 16, 2016 about 2PM.  To look at an additional scope of work which was mostly everything removed over two months prior. We came to a verbal agreement and a verbal start date of Monday, December 19, 2016 was set. BEFORE I left this meeting I turned to [redacted] and said, “Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Southern Indiana would be experiencing single digit temperatures and that I may be on freeze calls”. [redacted] responded with no problem, “as long as it’s done by Thursday”. That Thursday’s date was December 22, 2016.   Sunday December 18, 2016 I communicated to [redacted] emergency calls had started and that I would not be onsite Monday, December 19, 2016 and wasn’t positive about Tuesday. He offered no response.   Just after 11:00AM Monday, [redacted] had his laborer call me to ask when I would be there. While I was still talking to the laborer [redacted] texted my phone to ask me to start Tuesday Morning-I responded that “I was trying.”  [redacted] immediate response was that I “was not dependable” and he wanted a full refund.  I responded to him that Kaptains Plumbing has only operated at his direction through this entire ordeal and that as soon as I finished the job I was on I would certify mail his refund check to him immediately. Before two hours had passed his check was sent, on that day, December 19,2016.  [redacted] replied that “I’ll file a lawsuit against you at 8 AM tomorrow (Tuesday, December 20,2016) if you aren’t willing to meet me and issue my refund today”. When I told [redacted] of the certified mail he then raced to Madison Indiana to file the lawsuit Monday afternoon.  Due to the abrupt change of direction, and tone of his communications; as well as, I was alone on the truck that day it seemed a better decision to not step foot on [redacted]’s property or meet him in person that day.  Kaptains Plumbing has only operated at [redacted]s direction- he wanted to reschedule, we did. He wanted to postpone, we did. Without an added cost. He wanted a refund check, I immediately sent it to him certified mail that very day.  Which [redacted] has refused to pick up at the post office.  I have also had an attorney, [redacted], try to contact [redacted] to resolve this issue and he has refused to take his call repeatedly.  Finally, Kaptains Plumbing would like to mention the words that were spoken by the Revdex.com representative- “over three years and this is your first complaint”

I did receive a refund and I dropped my lawsuit.[redacted]
