I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
I understand that the some of the issues experienced were probably not a part of the warranty, but keep in mind, this vehicle had issues when it was purchased and we were not awareI will be taking my complaint to one of our local news stations to see if we can go through a different process regarding this issue because this vehicle was severely in need of repairs and the dealership was aware of the issues when it was sold.
Regards,

Thank you for sharing your receipts for review. After reviewing all receipts that you submitted for evidence to your complaint, we the managment at Kar Town have determained that all of the evidence submitted are issues that are not covered under your warranty. When you purchased your vehicle the odometer reading was 77,119 on 3/08/2014. The first reciept in your evidence from [redacted] states that you replaced a brake light switch. The recorded mileage from the reciept is 82,244, a difference of 5,125 miles. The second receipt in your evidence from [redacted] on 6/4/2014 states that  you replaced a spark plug, engine coil, and a spark plug boot. The recored mileage was 84,000 , a difference of 6881 miles since you purchased the vehicle. Most vehicles require a spark plug and timing belt change at 100,000 miles but may require it as soon as 80,000 miles. These issues are part of the regular maintance that needs to be addressed when your vehicle reaches that type of mileage. Your third reciept from [redacted] does not state the mileage when you replaced the 3  tires , however we do know that you had driven close to 7000 miles before replacing the tires. The fourth reciept also from [redacted] on 8/29/2014 states that you had to replace the brake pads and rotors. The recorded mileage for that date was 90,772. A difference of 13,653 miles. At this point your vehicle is no longer under the warranty program because you have exceeded the mileage limit on your warranty.  Brake pads and rotors are also a wear and tear item that need to be replace according to the driver and driving conditions. Kar Town does not accept responsiblity for any of these complaints listed by Mrs. [redacted] but we would be more than willing to assist with any maintnance problems that she is experiencing with her vehicle. Feel free to contact our office and speak with our General Mananger [redacted] if you have anything else you would like to address.  Please review the documents submitted by Mrs. [redacted] to confirm our findings.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For the response made by Kar Town, myself and my [redacted] did, in fact, visit the dealership in regards to the issues when they first occurred. The issues began in May, when we went to the dealership in regards to our tires. Although we are aware that this is from everyday "wear and tear," it was the idea that we purchased the car in March and we already had to replace three tires by May. We were only driving the car to work and to pick-up our son; therefore, we were not driving it continously. When my [redacted] talked to the service manager, he turned him away because of the fact they were regarding the tires, but did mentioned that there was a recall for the coils. When my [redacted] asked if that was under warranty, he stated no and told him to go to the nearest Hyuandi dealership to get them repaired. That was the first time we visited the dealership, which was on May 4th. The second time we visited the dealership was regarding our brake light. This time my [redacted] spoke with the assistant service manager, and he mentioned there was nothing he could had done.  He didn't mentioned if the repair could had been under warranty or not. We ended up going to [redacted], in which they repaired the brake light.   My [redacted] did speak with our sales person, [redacted], in regards to the issues we had with the car;  the only thing she mentioned was to speak to the service manager, in which we did, twice. Although we have a warranty, that was when we decided to not go back to the dealership for any more issues. We figured the dealership was not going to do anything in regards to repairing anything that would had occurred with the vehicle. Throughout the time the Accent has been in our possession, we have taken it to the shop on four occassions.  I have included the dates the vehicle has been with a mechanic and the issues the car had faced: 6/4/14: Fuel Clean-up; Spark Plugs; Ingition Coil; and Spark Plug Boots 8/29/14: Brakes 11/3/14: Battery Terminal (Starter) 2/7/15: Timing Belt I also included the receipts for all the repairs that were done, including the tires that were purchased from [redacted] three months after the vehicle was purchased, as well as the brake light that was repaired from [redacted]. I also attached the Buyers Guide, which specified that we did not purchased the vehicle "As Is."  Thank you, [redacted]

Hello,The vehicle was not purchased "As Is."  There was a 6 months warranty on the vehicle for specific parts. Also, a [redacted] was given to us that showed the vehicle was in good condition; therefore, we purchased the car thinking the car was in in good condition when it wasn't.  Thank...

you,[redacted]

First of all we would like to apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with your purchase from our dealership. We try to do our best to inspect our vehicles through a 76 piont inspection by an ASE certified mechanic before offering the vehicle for sale to our customers. We do provide a free 12 month / 12,000 mile powertrain plus warranty to cover specific mechanical parts that normally need to be replace after a certain amount of use. Normal wear and tear items from everyday use are not included in the warranty but our service department is designed to diagnose and repair those items at a affordable cost to our customers. Attached to this response is a copy of our warranty contract and a copy of the [redacted] for the vehicle in question. Since your purchase on 03/08/2014 we have no record of the vehicle ever visiting our service department for warranty repairs. Our dealership has a service manager and a assistant service manager to address any customers concerns and set up convenient appointment dates and times for vehicle repairs. What was descibed in your complaint does not match our normal process and is currently being addressed through the proper managment channels. This paticular complaint was not brought to the attention of the sales person, general manager, or owner of the company to be addressed before reaching the Revdex.com. We would like to extent our help towards repairing your vehicle for warranty or non warranty issues. Please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience so we can help resolve your vehicle issues as soon as possible.
Thank you,
[redacted]
