I live in Arkansas and I actually want to purchase a 6 x 10 Karavan utility trailer. Went to Sam's twice and looked at them with intention of buying. They appear to be a quality product with good features not offered in most trailers. But my primary use would be to transport my commercial grade zero-turn mower with 61" deck, and the ramp angle from level ground is too steep to safely drive onto the trailer. The steep angle would also cause the mower deck to hang at the break over point, even with the deck raised to maximum height. I wish Karavan made a dovetail option to reduce the angle, or an option of a 4" drop axle on their trailers. They also don't offer a "contact us" option on their web site, or I would have made these comments there.

Been trying for 3 days to contact Karavan trailers for something as simple as a replacement hub. On hold for 2 of those days for over 15 minutes. Since I work, cant spend more time then that on the phone. Called on my day off and left message, first thing in the morning, as directed by the phone message and never got a call back.
Horrible customer service. Will never purchase this companies product again.

I spent three months researching utility trailers and I made the decision to buy a 5 X 10 Karavan, which in my opinion is equal to or superior to the other brands I looked at. The fender steps are strong, the wood is thick and the versatility of the side and front rails puts the other trailer manufacturers to shame.

Hello , I bought a 6x10 platinum edition utility trailer from Sam's Club Wausau Wi. The problem I have is the leaf springs are very noisy. My question is how to fix them? I bought the trailer last year.

Review: bought a new skropion bass boat from buckeye sports center in cuy falls ohio with a karavan trailer under boat . it seems that the bunk boards on the trailer are very weak in middle of board and are not treated wood for marine use. my one bunk board split in half after loading my boat one day on the lake. I have had the boat 1yr and a half. the caravan people would not cover the board to replace it saying that warranty had expired. the trailer for me on that boat was a $900.00 item and if caravan only warranties they product one year why are these boat dealers using them. the bunk boards are unsafe and that is the issue I have.Desired Settlement: that they would replace the one bunk that is broke.

Response:

In response to Mr. [redacted] complaint that the bunk boards we use on our boat trailers is unsafe is completely untrue. Attached is a letter from our lumber supplier, one of the largest in the country, this letter is addressed to [redacted] who is the purchasing manager of Karavan Trailers, Inc. The attached letter states that a board does not have to be treated for marine use which shows that Mr. [redacted] idea that it must be treated is incorrect.

Our warranty is 12 months on most components and lifetime frame/workmanship and Mr. [redacted] would have known that when he purchased the trailer. Secondly warranty does not cover wear items such as bunks, tires, bearings etc. Wear items are items that wear as you use the trailer. This is why his request for Karavan to replace the bunk was denied.

Lastly, a lot of times aggressive loading practices can also break bunk boards. I am not insinuating that Mr. [redacted] caused the breakage intentionally but historically we have learned that a majority of bunk breakage occurs that way.

Please let me know if there is anything you need from us to close this complaint.

Thank you,
