[redacted] received a letter from us in January explaining her charges in detailThe letter is included as an attatchmentAs an industry standard, used by most offices and insurance companies, 25% of an orthodontic contract is considered due by the time the braces are put onThe remainder of the contract is then divided by the estimated months for a monthly chargeWe use that formula in calculating these chargesAdditionally, [redacted] chose to add a $fee for the upgrade to ceramic bracketsThat charge was due in full as soon as the brackets went on her teeth. We've added a copy of the original contract, and a copy of her payment ledger which documents the additional fee for ceramic bracketsIn actual fact, we rounded to charge of $which was to [redacted] 's advantage by $

The charge for $for a TMJ splint was stated in writing on the estimate given to the patient's family before treatment beganIt was marked "not included" to be clear that it was a charge separate from the braces The appliance was installed and maintained (which the family now remembers to be true) The charge was stated, the service was received

I am rejecting this response because:We have never agreed that this is true He stated that he did work three years ago that we do not believe was done, he never told us at the time, and didn't bill us until three years later when there was no proof that the work was done

This parent has since contacted our office. We explained the treatment plan and mom has agreed to have patient continue treatment with us. We recently saw this patient (5-28-17) and did repairs (recementing upper molars). Mom of patient wants to continue treatment and asked her son
to be cooperative as far as wearing the rubberbands to advance the lower jaw, avoiding extraction of upper bicuspids or doing jaw surgery to advance lower jaw

The charge for $600.00 for a TMJ splint was stated in writing on the estimate given to the patient's family before treatment began. It was marked "not included" to be clear that it was a charge separate from the braces.  The appliance was installed and maintained (which the family now remembers to be true).  The charge was stated, the service was received.
