Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2015/08/11) */ Over the last years as a small business owner and horseback riding instructor, I have never received negative feedback like thisWe offer multiple sessions of summer camp each year, and hundreds of children have participated since we started the programMany campers choose to return, or to continue on to our formal lesson programThis year in particular, we had almost forty campers participating in the same program with the same instructors and same horses as her children and hers was the only complaint I believe all feedback is valuable, so I thank her for sharing her concernsAs we discussed in person and as my web site says, "Activities are age appropriate and include caring for a pony, riding each day, horse related games and crafts, and having fun at the barn." All of our campers are in the riding ring about one hour per day, and spend three hours in non-riding activities (e.ggrooming, tack care, and so on) in order to teach children horsemanship." This broad focus reflects my commitment to fun, safety, and self-disciplineApparently she did not read and/or understand this approach so we will make a point to emphasize this in future camp communicationsI will also work more closely with our instructors and coach them on techniques to deal with children whose behavior can compromise the safety and take away from the enjoyment of other campers, which was the case in this instance I will also say that our program, like any, is not a good fit for everyoneThat is why in an attempt to address her concerns, I changed instructors for the last two days of the five day camp and also offered to refund her fee, but she declined and elected to keep her children in the remainder of the camp

started the program. Many campers choose to return, or to continue on to our formal lesson program. This year in particular, we had almost forty campers participating in the same program with the same instructors and same horses as her children and hers was the only complaint.
I believe all feedback is valuable, so I thank her for sharing her concerns. All of our campers are in the riding ring about one hour per day, and spend three hours in non-riding activities (e.g. grooming, tack care, and so on) in order to teach children horsemanship." I will also say that our program, like any, is not a good fit for everyone. That is why in an attempt to address her concerns, I changed instructors for the last two days of the five day camp and also offered to refund her fee, but she declined and elected to keep her children in the remainder of the camp.
