I hired Mr. [redacted] to dig a trench on my property to direct water away from my house. I recieved a total job estimate of [redacted] Mr. [redacted] requested a deposit of [redacted] prior to commencing work. I provided a Money order in the amount of [redacted] #XXXXXX, [redacted] Bank.He also entered my garage saying" let's see what you have to barter and maybe we can get the bill down further". Mr. [redacted] commenced work on [redacted] 2014 (Sat). His young sons were working with him and one son became sick and used my bathroom with no water in the toilet(Well shut off to prevent electrocution) and I had to remove all the fecal matter from my toilet myself to prevent a large plumbing problem. I later became sick myself. He did not return the following day OR the following weekend (rain/funeral). He returned again the weekend of [redacted] for 1 day and arbitrarily started to dig the exit ditch in a different place than agreed upon or represented in the contract because it was better for his equipment. I stopped him and insisted he dig according to the diagram provided and our agreement. He filled the 1st ditch and commenced digging in the agreed location. They ran out of stone. He brought up more stone (1 ton at a time/ he had a 1 ton toyota truck). He finally returned on [redacted] 2014 to rake out the loam (rained on repeatedly) and reseed the lawn. He promised to but NEVER provided any straw to mitigate the mud, remember my entire lawn was dug up, not 2 trenches, but 3 (1 refilled), about 1 week later Sunday, [redacted] 2014 He left a bill at my house for [redacted] "inventing additional charges" and trying to charge extra for a contract (unsigned) verbal agreement for [redacted] He has then called me daily to harass me about this inflated bill. I have requested a corrected invoice. Mailed to his P.O. Box on [redacted] Mr. [redacted] also tried to get me to pull a homeowners Building permit (I refused) as he was not sure whether he needed a permit to do the job or not.Product_Or_Service: Trenching/ Ditch digging installDesired SettlementI would like to settle this by making a final payment of [redacted] the [redacted] I owe minus the cost of two bales of straw He said he would get [redacted] bale from a friend.
