I was also supposed to follow up with the doctor which never happened. Ms. Ayans did not inform me that she is qualified and a state-licesnsed medical professional or else I would have liked to visit with the doctor. I never once recieved any letters from the doctors office or else I would have taken care of the bill. Review: I visited Dr. [redacted]'s Office on 1/27/2014 because I was refereed by my insurance company. After filling out the new patient paperwork I was called into a room where a lady walked in. She immediately stated that she is not a real doctor and that she is an intern practicing to be a doctor. I showed her my problem areas and she immediately prescribed me 3 medications that were all over $500 each. She advised me that this would take care of the problem. I was in the room for about 3-5 minutes after which she let me go. I went to the front desk and asked if there is a copayment I needed to pay. The lady at the front desk stated that "it is all taken care of through your insurance." About 8 months later I received the first letter in the mail from Century Credit & Collections, LLC. stating that my account has been assigned to their agency for collections of outstanding balance threaten me that my credit will be damaged if I do not pay. Fearing for my credit I immediately called upon receiving this letter and made a payment of $155.84. I spoke to Judy Lopez who advised me that my insurance company only paid a portion of the visit with the doctor. I laughed because I told her what visit! All I did was speak to some lady for 3 minutes. She kept stating if I didn't pay that they will report this to the credit bureaus and that I needed to pay today. I am really upset that they that they would send me to collections and didn't communicate to me. I didn't have a visit with Dr. Karlsberg and for 3-5 minutes they are charging me $155.Desired Settlement: A refund for my 3-5 mintue visit and apology from the doctor's office.
