First of all, Blue Eye Heating & Cooling did not sell and install the original systemOn 6/24, the tech found an extremely dirty
filter and plugged condensate drain with a lot of refrigerant oil inside the bottom pan of the heat pump around the compressorHe traced the oil back and found a leaking Schrader valve with two loose capsHe installed the *** valve and tightened the caps after he replaced the correct amount of refrigerantHe then replaced the condensate drain and removed the plugged filterHe instructed the homeowner to get a new filterHe told ***, the homeowner, that the system should be checked again in a few days to make sure there was no further leaks*** told the tech not to come back as he did not want to pay another service callThis conversation took place in the homeowner's drivewayOn 6/we received a call and went backThe leak detector found a leak in the outdoor condenser coil, and the tech also found more oil which indicates a large leakThe homeowner had replaced the plugged filter back in the unit, despite the tech telling him it needed to be replacedWe did not check the warranty as the homeowner told the tech they were not the original purchasers of the system and did not have an original invoice*** requires that we have a bill of sale or an original invoice to submit a warranty claimThe warranty is still pending, and if it does not go through they will be billed for the cost of the new coilOn 7/we replaced the coil and replaced the refrigerantThat following Monday, the homeowner was called because they specifically asked that we call themThe call went to voicemail and *** was unable to be reachedThe tech went to the house to check on the new call, which stated the unit was frozen againThe tech found the indoor evaporator coil had now sprung a leakThe indoor coil had been checked by pressure testing at psi for minutes and also pulled a vacuum to micron at the time of the original repair and indicated no leaksThe homeowner was notified of the new problem and told that the coil was ordered from *** *** *** *** We were notified that *** was at least weeks out from sending a replacement coilWe have no control over availability of parts from NordyneDue to the summer heat wave, *** is behind shipping partsAfter a few days, the homeowner called to tell us that they had found someone cheaper and would have that company complete the workThe homeowners would call the office line after and/or before hours and leave messages on voicemailWhen we returned calls, the call went to ***'s voicemail every timeOne day *** *** called 6-times in a rowI could not answer the phone as I was on another callI politely explained to her, to please leave a message, that I cannot always answer the phone being as I am one personI always return calls as soon as I canThe homeowners called repeatedly, often several times a dayWe tried our best to accommodate their needs, but they became very demanding and unreasonable

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/06) */
Original call was that the homeowner, ** ***, replaced his own furnace blower motor; ** had wired it wrong and ruined the motorHe then bought a second motor and asked us to wire it for himBoth motors had been purchased from a third party
The motor was properly wired by one of our service techsSix months later, ** had no A/CHe called us for a service call, and upon investigation, the tech found most of the wiring on the heat kit had melted and burned controls due to a restriction of air flow** was told he needed a new heat kitThe furnace is a *** and the model and serial numbers were given to *** *** *** said the heat kit was no longer availableWe informed ** that he needed to replace the furnace due to age and unavailable parts** was unsatisfied with this answer and appeared upset with usHe said he could not afford the necessary repair due to a major vehicle repair he had just paid forHe asked us to just add a relay or something to fix itWe told him we would not take the liability for his furnace with melted wiringHe called several times in one week asking us to repair it, and we gave the same answer every time: the parts were unavailable and the furnace needed to be replacedWe tried very hard to work with this customer, but seemed to come to the same dead end each time
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
air unit and furnace work fine .yes I did buy a fan and was unable to wire it blue eye sent a person out he was uaable to figure it out they sent two other people out and fixed it and said every thing is good will work for the winter and summer .summer came and the fan did not work they sent the same person that could not fix it the first time he had a attudie about being there and said they should have sent the other two people that fixed it the last time .he did even attempt to fix it he hard wired it and went on is way and he is blamming the furnace because of age
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/07/14) */
The electric furnace cannot be rewiredThe customer requested that a relay be installed so he does not have to flip a switch to turn the unit onA relay cannot be installed because the wires are burned and the unit needs a new heat kit, which is no longer availableBlue Eye Heating & Cooling cannot be held responsible for improper wiring and controls outside the manufacturer's specificationsThe customer stated that the technician had an attitude when he walked inMr*** was not there, his daughter was homeHe showed her the wiring, and she tried to contact Mr*** but could not reach himShe asked the tech to please get her air conditioning, so that is when he hard wired the unit to the breaker to get her A/C, as it was degrees in the houseThe unit is not safe to operate in heating modeThis was all explained to Mr***

The value of $70,000 is a combination of service calls and equipment installation over a 4 year period. In 2014, we charged a system that was leaking. replace. [redacted] claims that we have taken one of the high end Wi-Fi thermostats. This is not true - there was a problem with one of the systems, and we swapped thermostats with another unit to see if the thermostat was the problem. It was not, and the thermostats were put back in their original positions. The thermostat that [redacted] claims we took, was for a system that was not working and they did not want replaced, but the original bid included thermostats for all units, so it was left on the maintenance manager's [redacted]) desk, still in the box. The system that [redacted] says is under warranty and needs attention is not under warranty. Theindoor air handler was replaced, the outdoor unit was not replaced. It is a commercial property which only has a one year warranty on labor and parts. The warranty has expired. When we started a relationship with Kimberling Area Library, we worked with [redacted]. Recently [redacted] retired, and [redacted] stepped in. It has been nothing but complaints from [redacted]. I feel that the problem is personal, because [redacted] wanted [redacted] products, and the board voted [redacted] products. We never had a problem or complaint from the library until [redacted] stepped in.
