After not receiving a $rebate on a set of Ping golf clubs, and hearing or receiving nothing regarding this rebate, I contacted Ping and was informed that rapid-rebates.com (Garvin Promotion Group, LLC) was contracted to handle their military rebate program for golf clubs and I would need to contact them to find the status of this rebate I visited their web site, a status statement on this page that they are holding my rebate because of a discrepancy with the model number, and that a letter would be sent outTHERE WAS NO SUCH LETTER EVER SENT IN MONTHS I requested a response from them via their website and did not receive anyI tried to call their number and was unable to reach a human based on what I have read about them; I am not surprised to learn this is a common theme with them The following correspondence took place with ping customer service via their website: Thank you for your interest in PINGThis email is being sent in response to the request you recently submitted on www.ping.com You asked: Good morning, This is my third request for assistance with obtaining the military rebate on a set of Girons I purchased on June 29, The last communication from you was as follows: You asked: Hello, I submitted an application and associated paperwork and documentation for a military rebate in July of Clubs purchased Were a set of (7) G series irons serial #36A7894, purchased on June 29, These clubs were purchased from ***'s Sporting Goods store in Dubuque, IAI have not received the $offered in your program, nor have I been contacted in any way regarding any discrepancy with this applicationWere I contacted, I would be more than willing to resolve any issue with thisThis is my second attempt at contacting Ping trying to resolve this issue, and I would appreciate being contact regarding thisPlease place this request with a responsible party whom has the ability to take action on thisThank You, Allen Welter Our reply: Thank you for purchasing PING golf equipmentOur military rebates are handled by a 3rd party group known as Rapid-Rebates and generally take approximately 6-weeks to processThe status of your rebate can be checked on their website www.rapid-rebates.com, or by phone at (800) 619-Thank you for playing PING! I went on the website as instructed, entered the identifying info they asked for and the current status says this: We are unable to process your claim for the following reasons: - Model is invalidYou will receive a letter in the mail that explains the steps required to resolve these issuesFirst: I have not received any notification of any discrepancy from them- everSecond: I verified my copy of the rebate and the only place to identify the model is a check box for model type, and this box for (G) was checked, so I have no idea what excuse they are usingThird: my inquiry to them has gone unanswered (no surprise there)Fourth: I called the number and no one is available to take your callFifth: I did some research on this rebate company and everything I find is 100% negativeThis company is not accredited with the Revdex.com, and they have complaints filed against them with a customer review rating of 100% negativeWhy are you using such a disreputable company? Please respond Our reply: Allen, Thank you for your inquiryWe apologize for the issues that you are having regarding the military rebate formI believe that the discrepancy may be that the current rebate form is only valid for the new G irons so the Girons you indicated that you purchased would not be covered on the rebateIf you would like to discuss this further you can contact us at 1-800-474- Thank you, Brandon I did call the number and spoke to Brandon, he reiterated that the Gmodel was not covered by the rebateTheir website says G model clubsTheir rebate form says G clubsthey have many models that are in the G series Pretending to offer a military discount for advertising gain and using a disreputable rebate company, with a reputation for dishonest business practices, plus using shady and misleading advertising is the practice of a disreputable company, not worthy of any sort of connection with our honorable military members I strongly urge all of my fellow military members and veterans to boycott Ping (Karsten Mfg.) and any company, event associated with themThey are using our good name to attempt to position themselves positively in the public's eyeUnethical and Wrong! just plain WRONG!!

I visited their web site, a status statement on this page that they are holding my rebate because of a discrepancy with the model number, and that a letter would be sent out. THERE WAS NO SUCH LETTER EVER SENT IN 6 MONTHS.
I requested a response from them via their website and did not receive any. I tried to call their number and was unable to reach a human.

Thank you for your inquiry. We apologize for the issues that you are having regarding the military rebate form. I believe that the discrepancy may be that the current rebate form is only valid for the new G irons so the G25 irons you indicated that you purchased would not be covered on the rebate. I did call the number and spoke to Brandon, he reiterated that the G25 model was not covered by the rebate. Their website says G model clubs. Their rebate form says G clubs. they have many models that are in the G series.
Pretending to offer a military discount for advertising gain and using a disreputable rebate company, with a reputation for dishonest business practices, plus using shady and misleading advertising is the practice of a disreputable company, not worthy of any sort of connection with our honorable military members.
I strongly urge all of my fellow military members and veterans to boycott Ping (Karsten Mfg.) and any company, event associated with them. They are using our good name to attempt to position themselves positively in the public's eye. Unethical and Wrong! just plain WRONG!!

Review: I had some repair work done with [redacted] and they said they would issue a refund for two items from that repair:

1) Shaft replacement (~$47)

2) Return shipping (~$13)

this was back in late May. Now that it is over 3 weeks and the credit has not shown up, I do not want to have to chase them any longer. The whole situation has been going on since early May (6th) when they misplaced my golf clubsDesired Settlement: I would simply like the credit issued back to my credit card without any more hoops for me to jump through
