K.A.S. Gallery Reviews (4)

Paid for the class and the business never held the class. There were 30 of us waiting outside and none of us were ever told that they closed down. In fact, the gallery sent us all reminders of the class the day before it was supposed to be held. No one has returned my phone calls or given me a refund.

Review: I purchased a Groupon for a Spirits and Bottega Booze and Brushes painting class for four people in December 2012. On December 27, 2012, I emailed K.A.S. Galleries as I was having trouble with booking a class using my Groupon. I had also called and left a message with no return call. The following day I received n email from [redacted] that my class had been booked and to bring a copy of my Groupon. My class was scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2013. On January 7th, I had to contact Groupon as the Groupon was no longer available to print and was marked redeemed. Groupon emailed me and told me that K.A.S. Galleries had redeemed it. I had to explain to Groupon that my class was scheduled for March 20, 2013 and the Groupon had not been used. They quickly sent me an email with the Groupon so it could be printed off.

I showed up with my group on Wednesday, March 20th only to find the class had been cancelled. I logged on to the K.A.S. Galleries website the next day and again encountered an error with trying to book my Groupon. I emailed them and asked for assistance because I could not tell if the reservation or the Groupon was accepted. I received an email back stating that everything was okay and I was booked for a class on May 7th.

On April 19th, I received my credit card statement and now have been charged $96. Obviously, my Groupon code was not accepted. I have tried numerous times to contact K.A.S. Galleries to inquire about this charge and to have it reversed. I have yet to take a class or been able to use a Groupon that is now expired and all of no fault by me. They canceled the class. Obviously, they are having issues withtheir system and the Groupon codes.

I cannot get a response from them either by phone as I am prompted to leave a voicemail nor am I able to receive any emails back.

I contacted Groupon and they have promptly issued me a refund for the Groupon I purchased. As I could not get a response from K.A.S. Galleries, I have filed a dispute with my credit card holder. I have now noticed that they have taken down their Facebook page as many other customers had similar complaints and issues as I.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate a prompt credit back to my credit card and not to receive any future charges from them. I no longer wish to attend the class as I have noticed from several other customers, they classes are being canceled left and right.

Review: Me and several other friends purchased a Groupon for an art class. We had a horrible time even getting the class scheduled. We were told they lost our reservation, they overbooked on accident. Finally on the third attempt we got a confimation email and showed up to the class only to find the doors were locked, lights were off and no one was available. We tried to call the business and got redirected to an answering service that knew nothing about what was going on. There was a total of about 30 people waiting outside on 04-26-2013 to attend a class we had already paid for. After all the trouble we had just getting our class scheduled and then to find the business was closed with no explanation or notice and no way to get ahold of anyone there. That is ridiculous and I can't imagine anyone running a business like this.Desired Settlement: Since I purchased the class through groupon I assume I will need to get a refund from them. The main thing I hope to accomplish is saving anyone else from wasting their time and money on this company. Someone needs to let them know how to run a business and stop advertising and allowing them to sell coupons for this class.

Review: I bought a Groupon in November for a party of 4 people to participate in a Painting and Wine class with KAS Gallery. The Groupon gave specific instructions on how to schedule your class, which turned out to be far more difficult than I imagined when I bought the Groupon. After one customer service fail after another, due to lack of email response or telephone call on the business's behalf, I finally booked our painting night for March 15. On the day of March 15th, I received an email that the class had been cancelled. I called to re-book, which was like pulling teeth and took several weeks, and was finally confirmed for a class on Tuesday, April 23 at 7:30.On Tuesday the 23rd, 16-18 KAS Gallery paid customers stood outside the gallery waiting for our class to start. The business was closed, not lights on, no sign on the door, no phone call, and no email of cancellation. Several folks waiting stated that this was their third time to attempt a class, but that it had been cancelled each time.I tried to call regarding the issue, but not one answered. By 7:40, all the people gathered for the class had dispersed, completely saddened and dissatisfied once again by the service provided by KAS Gallery. The same issue had occurred at least one other time before, as I learned through a review I read online on the facebook page and on google maps. Please do not let this happen to more folks.Desired Settlement: I only hope to get my money refunded from Groupon and also hope that other people will not purchase services from KAS. The customer service was non-existent and the product was not provided at all, leaving 18 people standing on the curb disappointed.
