Review: I want a refund. I enrolled back in May of 2003. The people that deal with financial aid of the school told my mom that in order for me to go to that school she needed to take out a loan from sallie mae. So my mom ended up doing that but the thing is I withdrew my classes that same day and to this day I am still fighting with Sallie Mae about the loans. The Katharine Gibbs school,when they were open told my mom and I that there is nothing they can do... Then on my credit report which I ordered in August of this year said I have two student loans from Sallie Mae both equaling over 3,000. Which is crazy. They put the one loan that is not mine into a collection agency and I notified Transunion about this too. I tried to get this resolved with the school in Piscataway but they are closed. So [redacted] from Sallie Mae gave my mom and I another number from Katharine Gibbs School,and that number is out of service. I am sick of this. I got ripped off and they took the money from Sallie Mae and basically ran away with that money. I either want a refund or Sallie Mae to consider this debt settled. My mom and I have been paying on this one loan that is mine, for over two years and they say we still owe 2500... Crazy.Desired Settlement: I would like Sallie Mae to consider this debt settled or give myself and my mom a refund. The School took the money from the loan that my mom took out and the school would not refund it back to SAllie Mae. I withdrew the same day from the classes. Also for Sallie Mae to remove a loan from my credit report that is now in collections for a loan that is NOT mine. I talked to SM servicing and Sallie Mae, they both said the same thing that I am right and that the one loan for 3,500 is not mine. They are crooks and should be put out of business. I am sick of this .
