Review: I took my car to Kathy's to have the egr valve replaced. 5 months later the check engine light came on with the same code so I called Kathy's and was told to bring it back. I had my oil changed at [redacted] and they ran a diagnostic check so I showed them the paper that [redacted] had given me showing what the diagnostic said.The man who took the paper was rude and said he would do his own diagnostic. I said I didn't mean to offend him and and the owner said [redacted] isn't good with cars thats why he was rude.My car was looked at and they did something not sure what.Two weeks later the same code again. I took it to another shop and was told the passages to the valve were blocked and had not been cleaned when the valve was replaced.I had them fix it at a cost of $108 plus tax. I called Kathy' and explained what happened and I felt she should reimburse me for the cost and she hung up on me. I called her back and she refused to discuss this matter with me.Desired Settlement: Refund for the cost I had to pay another shop. $108 plus tax

I am responding to the complaint received by the Revdex.com In reference to the above

individual. Kathy's Auto Service performed the following services to [redacted]'s car on 5/13/2013.

[redacted] called and noted her check engine light came on approximately in late October of 2013. I

explained to her to bring her vehicle back to the shop and If there was an Issue on our end with the

services performed we would warranty out the part with no cost to her as a consumer. She never came

back for service on her complaint to us.

AS I was preparing this response [redacted] just called me again on 12/23/2013 and stated she Is at another

shop with the same issue of a check engine light on, now this is after she had another shop clean the

passages to the valve. For warranty work and free replacement of the Initial EGR [redacted] was once again

informed to return to Kathy's to clear up her issue if it has anything to do with our work. We as a service

provider can't provide service Without the vehicle at the shop.
