Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/04/15) */
Please see the business's response attached:
"To Whom it May Concern:
In response to case #[redacted], we provided care for Mrs. [redacted]-[redacted]' son. It is stated in our parent handbook under withdrawal of your child(ren)that a...

termination form must be filled out by the parent/guardian. Failure to complete this form results in the parent to be charged regular fees until such form is completed and signed. Mrs. [redacted] has failed to complete this form, and as a courtesy we are only billing her for the week of March 28, 2016 instead of March 28th through April 11, 2016. We were not given a week's notice of his termination nor were we informed of a vacation to be granted to the [redacted] family. Mrs. [redacted] signed the form within our enrollment forms acknowledging our policies and procedures. If any further questions or concerns please contact me at the above information.
Thank you,
Kathy M**
Owner"
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/04/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The bill I received from Kathy's Little Angels (KLA) on April 5, 2016 says KLA is billing me for a week of vacation that according to them, my son was not eligible for because "he had not been enrolled at KLA for a full year." (See attached letter)
However my son was withdrawn from KLA prior to the time in which he would have been on vacation. The vacation was requested more than a month prior to his withdraw for March 28- April 1, 2016. His last day at KLA was March 24, 2016. His withdraw makes my request for vacation null and void. KLA was aware of his withdraw from the daycare more than a week before the time he would have been on vacation had he still been enrolled.
Additionally, the attached letter from KLA which came with a bill for $190, says KLA is not charging me for what in the letter says "a lack of two weeks notice," rather the charge is for the week of vacation (that occurred after his withdraw from KLA). This attached letter shows a discrepancy by Kathy's Little Angels on their policy. My letter noted in two lines, that KLA required a two week notice for withdraw. In this Revdex.com dispute, Kathy's Little Angels provided a scan of their policy book which says one week notice is required. This shows that KLA is not fluent on their own policy.
I provided both verbal and written notice that my son would no longer attend Kathy's Little Angels, which included more than a week's notice.
This is actually the second time my son has been withdrawn from the facility, the first time occurred in May 2015. The first time he was withdrawn and this current withdraw, a form was not provided by Kathy's Little Angels and I was told the written document I had provided was adequate.
If Kathy's Little Angels claims they still require a form, I'd like to see evidence that every child's family leaving their organization was supplied, and filled out this form. This is simply not a policy they adhere to - it has nothing to do with me not following policy. They did not give me a form to fill out when I gave notice. So filling out an additional form would have been impossible. The lack of filling out a specific form is not mentioned as an issue in the letter KLA sent with the bill.
The bill is for a requested week of vacation in which my son was not enrolled to take. KLA's argument does not support their request for payment. KLA received more than a week's prior written notice that my son would no longer attend KLA. The formality of a form (which was not provided to me) is just another example of KLA not knowing their own policy - and now trying to acquire funds they are not entitled to receive.

Final Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2016/05/10) */
As we previously stated, Mrs. [redacted] failed to comply with the handbook policy which she signed and is on file at Kathy's Little Angels. As the business person that I am, my time is very valuable. I could continue going back and forth with Mrs. [redacted] over $190 that she feel is unfair, however I stand by my policies which have been effective for ten years. Any evidence regarding other files besides the [redacted] Family file is confidential. I am willing to have Mrs. [redacted] satisfy her account with a payment of $95
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2016/05/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Again,
The letter from Kathy's Little Angels that I submitted as evidence to the Revdex.com, was asking for $190 for a week of vacation time that I requested in writing long before I chose to remove my son from their care. Once I removed him from Kathy's Little Angels, my request for a week of vacation was null and void. He was not enrolled.
He was withdrawn from the daycare (in writing) prior to this week.
Kathy's Little Angels' argument now that I have submitted a Revdex.com complaint is that I need to pay for "not providing adequate notice for withdrawing my son." However in the letter mailed to me, Kathy's Little Angels writes that they are not billing me for what they now claim was improper notice of leave, but rather for a week of vacation.
I will not pay Kathy's Little Angels any fee as I am not at fault. I did provide proper notice for withdrawing my son - which wasn't what the daycare said they were billing me for until I filed a formal complaint against them.
There is nothing to compromise. The reduced fee Kathy's Little Angels proposed is still a glaring example of a company bullying a former client for their financial gain.
In the second response from Kathy's Little Angels, they do not even have my full name correctly written- another example of Kathy's Little Angel's being sloppy and disorganized.
If their "policies have been in place for 10 years," why did my letter from Kathy's Little Angel's claim I needed to provide two weeks of withdraw notice and the document they sent to Revdex.com say they require one week of notice?
Again, this is a poorly run daycare and the administration is grasping at straws to glean additional funds from someone who has been a financially responsible client since January 2015.
