Review: Before requesting the replacement of a new sink, I specifically asked how much the installation would be. The reply was $185 an hr. I asked approximately how long it would take and the reply was between an hr and an hr and 1/2. I agreed . I had someone let the service man into the residence and when I arrived to pay ,less than an hour after he arrived he was gone. He took less than an hour for the new installation. When I called to find out where to send the check for the installation the owner stated that I owed close to $400. He claims to charge traveling time which was Never mentioned. Unless he comes to the area by limo the price is totally unheard of and the prearranged agreed fee not respected.I sent a check for $200.which more than covers the cost of the installation.The owner chose not to cash it thus far. In addition the owner placed his absurd bill with a collection agency which is harassing my tenant. Practices such as these are offensive and unethical.Desired Settlement: accept the $200 payment for services rendered

To whom it may concern Dispute Services,

I spoke with [redacted] on the telephone and while I did not agree with her that our service technicians were at her home for less than an hour, I agreed to accept her partial payment of $200.00. It has been over a month since the work was performed and we have yet to receive any payment. Our company has a 30 day grace period at which we will send a reminder. At 60 days we send a 2"d reminder to the customer, and then a 3rd reminder at 90 days. Only at 120 days does our company refer outstanding bills to a collection agency. We did not refer [redacted]'s outstanding invoice to a collection agency. As of yet we have not sent out the first reminder. I would ask for proof of the collection letter as it was not sent by my company and it may be from different company's outstanding invoice.
