4/12/2016Re: ID#: [redacted] To Whom it May Concern,In response to complaint placed by [redacted] of [redacted] Accents & Interiors :Arizona Floorcoverings LLC installed, thru sub-contractor Stearns Floor Covering Inc., flooring material purchased by [redacted] Accents & Interiors This material was for one of their client's propertiesThe material was a dark , non-porous, porcelain tileStearns Floor Covering Incinstalled the tile and [redacted] Accents & Interior s paid the final bill.Arizona Floorcoverings LLC received later, a call from [redacted] Accents & Interiors, describing a white film on the tileShortly after, Arizona Floorcoverings LLC inspected the complaintWith no conclusive answer as to what was causing this discoloratio n, there was some delayWe requested that the manufacturer of the tile look at what the problem could be, again no answerAt this point, Arizona Floorcoverings LLC agreed to replace the discolored tile with several new pieces [redacted] ***is a sub-contractor, not an employeeTherefore, we can suggest when he completes work, but it is up to him to make his scheduleThe tile was replaced and [redacted] stated that he would return in ONE day to seal and stain the grout [redacted] Accents & Interiors took it upon themselves to arbitrarily hire another contractor to finish work that could have been done correctly and promptly by Stearns Floor Coverings IncArizona Floorcoverings LLC does not believe we are responsible for the $th at [redacted] Accents & Interiors chose to spend to seal and stain the groutIt is standard procedure in the industry to wait a day in order for the grout to dryRegards,Zach E [redacted] Arizona Floorcoverings Flooring AmericaOwner [redacted]

The response provided by Arizona Floorcoverings
LLC fails to address the issue at hand; at the time the white residue and modeling
were noticed, an employee of *** *** *** *** or Arizona
Floorcoverings LLC (which make no difference as far as *** Accents &
Interiors is concerned) went out and applied CLR Cleaner, bleaching the colored
grout and caused grout haze throughoutThis is what *** is requesting compensation
forWhat happened after that has nothing to do with the $chargeThe tiles
that were replaced were done so as an acceptance for some degree of
responsibility for installing stained tilesAgain, keep in mind that a request
for removing the grout haze isn’t being made, which the installer is also
directly responsible forThis took the Owner (personally) of *** a day to
remove from the floor because Arizona Floorcoverings simply would notThey
claimed it was due to the schedule however earlier discussions made it clear
that they were not confident how to get it cleaned
To further address the Response; the entire statement
made regarding returning in one day to seal and stain the grout is absolutely false
The Agreement made with Arizona Floorcoverings to get all the work completed
within a week and a half was on 02/01/16, the tiles were replaced on 02/04/
If the statement were true about “one day” then they would have returned on
02/05/or 02/08/(because of the weekend) to do the color seal, however;
when *** contacted Arizona Floorcoverings, then Stearns Floor Covering Inc the
day they were allegedly to return (02/05/16), the response received from
*** *** *** *** was, “Arizona Floorcoverings never said anything to
us”So the issue is they were never scheduled and *** holds documentation of
this, and that the following Friday would be the soonest they would return
There was no “promptness” to the situation at all and *** had multiple
discussions with both parties trying to resolve the situation without bringing
in another contractor, but neither were willing to get the work completed as
agreed upon
There are additional statements made in the
Response that are misleading as to how the situation was handled by Arizona
Floorcoverings, but we feel the point has been made*** looks forward to receiving
a more accurate response to the accusation
