Review: On 2/24/14, KAZ Automotive located in Fredericksburg, VA replaced the alternator in my vehicle for $364.03. Three months later (5/2014), red lights on my dashboard intermittently flashed on and off for no reason. When I went back to KAZ in Fredericksburg, the garage had closed down with no information where to find them. I took my car to another facility but they could not determine what the problem was and said that perhaps it was an electrical issue. The flashing lights continued. On 5/27/15, [redacted] of Fredericksburg replaced the battery in my [redacted]. Now, the battery light, doors open lights, air bag lights, etc. flashed on and off at an alarming rate. On 6/11/15, I took my vehicle back to the [redacted] dealership to determine what was wrong. I had driven only 4,060 miles with KAZ's alternator and was told by [redacted] that the alternator had failed and needed to be replaced. It was unable to charge while accessories were on. They checked my entire electrical system and found nothing wrong. [redacted]'s charge was $650. Before leaving [redacted], I found the phone number for Kaz Automotive located in Stafford VA. I called them and gave all this info to Heidi, the Assistant Mgr. I told her the [redacted] dealership had my auto and had to order a new alternator to be installed the next day. Heidi stated she would speak to her manager, Andy, and call me first thing tomorrow morning (6/12) to see what could be done. I wanted my money back for this defective/rebuilt part. Heidi could not tell me where they had gotten the alternator for my car even though I gave her the part number. The next day (June 12) at 11 am, Heidi called me and told me to drive my car to Stafford for warranty replacement. However, I could not do that because of the failed alternator and my car was still at the [redacted] dealership. KAZ Automotive refused to refund my money or offer any other assistance. They were not interested in making things right because they already had my money.Desired Settlement: I desire a refund in the amount of $364.03 for the defective alternator KAZ Automotive installed in my vehicle which failed within 4,060 miles of use.
