Good experience working with Shawn. I would definatly hire him again.

What an absolute pleasure to work with Shawn and his crew. They are hard working, prompt, polite, HONEST men. He is easy to work with and alterations are no problem for Shawn. His skills have made it a beautiful place to entertain my family. Thank you. Thank you!

He redid my whole kitchen. I will have him back when I save enough for our bathroom.

We are extremely please with our kitchen. From the start, KB Construction walked us through the design process, helped us pick out our options and completed the entire kitchen in less time than than expected. The final price was very close to the quote and only increased because we chose to add upgrades during construction. Superior customer service, communication and professionalism was displayed before during and after our project. We will be using this company again for future projects and have already referred our friends.

I recommend Shawn and Beto of KB Construction for both bathroom and kitchen remodeling. The pricing of work is competitive and Shawn is consumer-focused. Like all work, make sure you've been very specific in what you want. Shawn will take the time to meet with you and aid you in your selections. I practice that is important to me, is tidiness on the work site. These are our homes, and having a construction team that demonstrates respect for your spaces is important. If you are a customer who is time exact, know that the team can run late, and does give relative time frames, so you can text Shawn if you're running errands, etc. and accommodate each other's schedule respectfully.

When I get ready to do the master bath, I will indeed give KB Construction that first call.

The contractor quoted me a final price of $13,800 verbally but the contract was written at $14,800. My final cost was more than $16,500. The job was supposed to be turnkey ready, but I had to pay for the kitchen faucet and the knobs and drawer pulls. My husband had to install them because the contractor refused to install them unless I paid him an additional $150.00.

The contractor promised the work would be completed in two weeks or less (ten working days), and the actual job started a week late on April 10th, as I recall, and ended on May 28, 2014. I was without a sink or cooking facilities twice for a total of three and a half weeks. The continuous delays caused by the contractor cost my husband and I five extra weeks of vacation time.

The granite he installed the first time was not what I had selected, and he fought me for two weeks before agreeing to replace it. He forced me to pay for the second set of slabs (five) while he had the kitchen torn up for the second time. I had to make five trips to the granite warehouse for the second set of slabs because the contractor failed to call the warehouse and provide his credit card number so that they would release the slabs to the fabricator.

The contractor was supposed to refund to me the money he received for returning some the granite to the warehouse. He did not refund that money to us even though we asked him to do so twice.

He was very, very difficult to work with and became somewhat belligerent once I had rejected the purple granite he first installed. The cabinets he put in have a cherry finish, and purple is not a color anyone would choose for a countertop. I still have a few small pieces of the original granite sitting in my garage.

During our final settlement meeting, the contractor was notified that the the replacement granite was not sealed properly. A spoon I sat on the counter the night before had oil on it, and it leeched down into the granite. When I pointed it out to him, he just refused to discuss it and changed the subject. After less than two years, the work areas around the sink and range are discolored at least 6-8 shades darker than the rest of the granite. It is quite noticeable to anyone walking into my kitchen.

All in all, it was a very distressing situation, and KR Construction will not get any recommendation from me.
