The client contracted me for their wedding date of August 24, The date was subsequently moved due to the clients pregnancy to February and I allowed the client the change in the contract without assessing them the $reschedule fee and I also allowed them to apply the retainer to an hourly rate for their smaller wedding at a significant loss of income An engagement session was also done, and the client at every stage of the process let me know how much she did not like photos of herself, and that she looked "huge" in the photos She contacted me after the wedding upset with how other peoples photos from the wedding upset her because of how she looked before she viewed my photos I provided retouching services at no charge of both the engagement session and the wedding photos because of her feelings of self doubt, I re-cropped the photos she requested be reworked The wedding was a small candlelit ceremony and the photos reflect exactly the feeling and flow of the wedding I went over and beyond the terms of the contract many times, and I believe that there is nothing more I could do to make this client happy and my contract was fulfilled The matter has been referred to my lawyer [redacted] and Mrs [redacted] 's lawyer has contacted her and they are in negotiations [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I will refer to my first message to respond to Ms [redacted] 's take on the issues While I did feel SOME pictures were not flattering, I by no means said "I look huge in all of them." I was not overly pleased with ***'s "engagement" photos but she basically told me my expectations from that should have been kept low because it was a "groupon" type of deal She again reassured us that she was more than capable of producing pictures with quality that would meet the level of a professional photographer We are not upset with how we look in the pictures, we are upset with the quality of the photos - which again we were told by numerous professionals were not of a professional standard and lacked the experience and equipment a professional should be able to provide I could go in to a million specifics but again, have detailed this already There are shadows over people (even after lights were turned on at the church!), many were out of focus, and many lacked composition a professional would provide Furthermore, my only feedback to Ms [redacted] after the wedding, awaiting our scheduled date to go over "editing" options, was that we weren't getting the best of feedback from others who viewed the photos I again refer you to the first email where I detailed such feedback - most of which indicated that others felt the same as us - the pictures did not look professional I have saved all correspondence between Ms [redacted] and myself and would be happy to provide this as needed Furthermore, professionals we have referred the images to said two things: 1) She knows she can't fix a lack of experience and equipment that is why she is ending the relationship and 2) She didn't use the proper equipment to be able to edit images properly This again has nothing to do with any "sensitivities" Ms [redacted] thinks I or my husband may have This has to do with us paying for a professional service and receiving an amateur product - again, per reviews of others in her industry Ms [redacted] 's attorney declined a settlement and for our protection as well as the protection for all consumers, we feel it is best to involve the Revdex.com in assisting us to find resolution to this Regards, [redacted] ***

A letter was sent to Ms [redacted] 's lawyer in response on not rejecting the offer, but asking to identify the "professional" who had given them their opinion on the outcome of the photos before any further action or litigation would be pursued as in Wisconsin a professional must be named and vetted as a professional to give an expert opinion in a court of law This information has not been provided and no further communication has been received from Ms [redacted] 's lawyer As to my style and training, from the wedding contract that Ms [redacted] signed "The Client understands and agrees the majority of the images delivered will be primarily candid; meaning random and moment-basedKB Images does her best in capturing the “overall feeling and story of your day”, but does not guarantee or imply every guest will be photographed" Also attached are the listing of the 50+ awards I have won for wedding photography over the past years As to not being able to use the photos in any tangible way, attached is a screenshot of Ms [redacted] featuring a wedding photo on her social media page dated today, This contract has been fulfilled and the client has received all relevant digital files and releases

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I will refer to my first message to respond to Ms. [redacted]'s take on the issues.  While I did feel SOME pictures were not flattering, I by no means said "I look huge in all of them."  I was not overly pleased with [redacted]'s "engagement" photos but she basically told me my expectations from that should have been kept low because it was a "groupon" type of deal.  She again reassured us that she was more than capable of producing pictures with quality that would meet the level of a professional photographer.  We are not upset with how we look in the pictures, we are upset with the quality of the photos - which again we were told by numerous professionals were not of a professional standard and lacked the experience and equipment a professional should be able to provide.  I could go in to a million specifics but again, have detailed this already.  There are shadows over people (even after lights were turned on at the church!), many were out of focus, and many lacked composition a professional would provide.  Furthermore, my only feedback to Ms. [redacted] after the wedding, awaiting our scheduled date to go over "editing" options, was that we weren't getting the best of feedback from others who viewed the photos.  I again refer you to the first email where I detailed such feedback - most of which indicated that others felt the same as us - the pictures did not look professional.   I have saved all correspondence between Ms. [redacted] and myself and would be happy to provide this as needed.  Furthermore, professionals we have referred the images to said two things: 1) She knows she can't fix a lack of experience and equipment that is why she is ending the relationship and 2) She didn't use the proper equipment to be able to edit images properly.  This again has nothing to do with any "sensitivities" Ms. [redacted] thinks I or my husband may have.   This has to do with us paying for a professional service and receiving an amateur product - again, per reviews of others in her industry.

Ms. [redacted]'s attorney declined a settlement and for our protection as well as the protection for all consumers, we feel it is best to involve the Revdex.com in assisting us to find resolution to this.
Regards,
[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I would first like to state that using a total of two pictures on social media between my husband and myself does not typically justify or warrant a $1000+ wedding photo package.  In addition, that is part of the problem - due to quality we cannot enlarge the photos without them appearing "grainy."  Our contract never stated "images will be only able to be used on social media because quality prohibits them from being able to be used as portraits, etc."  Also, to reiterate, it is shocking Ms. [redacted] would find the ability to use two pictures as "thumbtacks" an acceptable outcome from a wedding.  I cannot say it enough - both professionals and friends/family were shocked at the quality and lack of professionalism from Ms. [redacted].
As we have stated before, we will not be releasing the names of other photographers until we reach the point of having to involve the court system, if that is needed.  Due to Ms. [redacted]'s connections in her industry (as detailed in previous correspondence) we do not feel it is fair for these individuals to be chastised for being honest.  Since Ms. [redacted] has clearly built her business based on friendships vs. skill, and relies on such course of "professionalism," we do not feel it's necessary to involve others further until it is our last resort.  If we need to pursue this within the confines of small claims court, we will gladly proceed with these individuals serving as expert witnesses.  Our goal in involving the Revdex.com was to 1) try and settle this with Ms. [redacted];  Since she "terminated" our relationship, she prohibited the ability for us to be able to communicate our concerns and proactively reach a resolution, and 2) raise awareness of Ms. [redacted]'s business practices. If Ms. [redacted] is uncomfortable proceeding without us releasing the professionals names, we again will pursue other means for resolving this. We have release correspondence from such professionals - that correspondence could never have been crafted by an amateur or anyone else who wasn't a professional.
Due to the extended delays in Ms. [redacted]s responses, I ask the Revdex.com to relase all correspondence on their website regarding this incident.  As wedding season approaches, I would like others to be made aware of the current conditions in which Ms. [redacted] practices.  I personally would hate for another couple to be neglected the opportunity to read honest reviews about work which pertains to an event which is commonly held dear to most people.

A letter was sent to Ms [redacted]'s lawyer in response on 3.27.14 not rejecting the offer, but asking to identify the "professional" who had given them their opinion on the outcome of the photos before any further action or litigation would be pursued as in Wisconsin a professional must be named and vetted as a professional to give an expert opinion in a court of law.  This information has not been provided and no further communication has been received from Ms [redacted]'s lawyer.
As to my style and training, from the wedding contract that Ms [redacted] signed  "The Client understands and agrees the majority
of the images delivered will be primarily candid; meaning random and
moment-based. KB Images does her best in capturing the “overall feeling and
story of your day”, but does not guarantee or imply every guest will be
photographed" Also attached are the listing of the 50+ awards I have won for wedding photography over the past 18 years.
As to not being able to use the photos in any tangible way, attached is a screenshot of Ms [redacted] featuring a wedding photo on her social media page dated today, 5.14.14.
This contract has been fulfilled and the client has received all relevant digital files and releases.

The client contracted me for their wedding date of August 24, 2014.  The date was subsequently moved due to the clients pregnancy to February 7 2014 and I allowed the client the change in the contract without assessing them the $100 reschedule fee and I also allowed them to apply the retainer...

to an hourly rate for their smaller wedding at a significant loss of income.  An engagement session was also done, and the client at every stage of the process let me know how much she did not like photos of herself, and that she looked "huge" in the photos.  She contacted me after the wedding upset with how other peoples photos from the wedding upset her because of how she looked before she viewed my photos.   I provided retouching services at no charge of both the engagement session and the wedding photos because of her feelings of self doubt, I re-cropped the photos she requested be reworked.  The wedding was a small candlelit ceremony and the photos reflect exactly the feeling and flow of the wedding.
I went over and beyond the terms of the contract many times, and I believe that there is nothing more I could do to make this client happy and my contract was fulfilled.  The matter has been referred to my lawyer [redacted] and Mrs [redacted]'s lawyer has contacted her and they are in negotiations.
