Review: This company keeps calling the house and states that my computer is sending out warnings to [redacted] and that my system is filled with [redacted] and key loggers that are causing the problem. They asked to remote into my PC to show me the errors. They first identified themselves as [redacted] Windows Support, they provided me a call back number of ###-###-####. They then said that in order to clean my PC, I would have to purchase the [redacted] Windows Support for $99. They also stated that since I was over 50 that it came with a life time support. I further questioned them how they obtained the phone number they called and the individual got belligerent on the phone. I asked for his name and phone number and was told that they can't provide me that information until I purchased the support and that it would be in the email I received. The person then told me that unless I got my computer fixed (by them) that they would cut off my computer from the internet within 30 minutes. I told the individual to never call again, but alas, the next day they called. They were told to remove my number from their calling list. They informed my that they would NOT.

I contacted [redacted] Windows Support (Official), and was told that they do not call customers, and they do not offer any lifetime support (their $99 plan is for 90 days).Desired Settlement: This company should not be in business! They are a SCAM business and prey on unsuspecting people that don't know much about computers.

They are not forthcoming with their information and threat you with shutting down your system if you do not agree to their service.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by KBK Info Tech regarding complaint ID [redacted].

To whom it may concern,

We have not received any replies to this complaint from the company. We have had several more calls from them that we’ve told them to remove us from their calling list, which they refused! Ever since, we just hang up on the robo-calls. This company needs to be fined for its business practice of intimidating and harassing people. I’ve read up on this company and this is not the only time they resort to this. Luckily for me, I knew enough not to be taken in by their ploys, but the less knowledgeable or elderly people can get scammed out of their money (they want to charge $99 for their service).

Thank you for looking into this matter,

Sincerely,

Review: KBK Tech contacted me at 5:30pm on Friday and showed me pictures of the Malaysia flight flown out of the sky and FBI stories about personal computer investigations for malicious activity. The company asked for access to my computer using TeamViewer and threatened that my computer would crash within a week if I did not give them access to install anti-spyware. The company asked me to pay $300 for a five year subscription for various anti-spyware. The company asked me to key in my credit card number and were adament for a check and/or my VISA card. The company was on my computer for at least 5 hours. The company asked me to key in different codes, which I did, and they showed me that a man in China had been hacking my computer for over a year. There are more details that I would like to provide over the phone to the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I am afraid that my computer may have spyware installed. I would like to explain the incident to the Revdex.com over the phone.

I would like my money back - $300.00. Let

me know if I can assist with any details.

Review: I was called by a man with an [redacted] accent. He said he was working for Windows - Microsoft - said he was notified that my computer needed attention - that my computer had been hacked. He accessed my computer and brought up a whole lot of files and said "see these files are all attempts to hack your computer and get my personal information including banking information". Then he brought up a screen and said I needed to purchase their services to protect my computer - When my bank got the request to pay through my debit card, payment was to be paid to a foreign name, when the bank questioned it they came up with the name KBK infotech to collect $450 from my account. Because of my banks rules since they came up with my 3 security numbers from the back of my card, the bank had to pay this. They hot-carded my debit card and since my last card had been used for 6 months by someone else to pay their dish bill - and now they had to eat this $450 I lost my privilege to carry a debit card. The first case became a criminal case and the defendant was charged with a felony. I want to know how to recover the $450 they hit me for. Does anyone know?Desired Settlement: I want my bank reimbursed for the $450 they paid out on my debit card and I want them to get off my computer.
