I'm hoping more people start googling this photographers name before agreeing to use her services for a photos. I should have known there was a reason she had reviews turned off on her Facebook page. Silly me.
Kristin constantly posts bottom of the barrel unheard of prices for photo shoots & advertises using high quality images that sucker everyone in. She is very responsive while in the process of booking a shoot, then goes ghost once she gets your money and its like pulling teeth to get a reply.
I booked both a maternity and newborn photo shoot with her; one to take place in January, and one to take place in February. The day before the shoot, I still hadn't received an address of where we were supposed to be going. She didn't reply until after midnight the day of the shoot. Fine, whatever. We were told it would be at a barn location and I had seen other pics on her FB that were taken there and it's exactly what I wanted. When we got there, she took our photos in a parking lot... a PARKING LOT. No barn in sight. It was freezing, I had already driven an hour to get there & paid to have my hair done for the shoot, so I just kept my mouth shut and went along with it.. she didn't talk to us at all during the shoot except for telling us how to pose. Not very personable at all. Before we left she told us we'll receive the pics in 2 weeks. 2 weeks comes and goes & we still didn't have the photos. I messaged her and asked for an update and asked if we could go ahead and schedule the newborn shoot since I was being induced and knew when my son would be here. She ignored everything and just said "let me know once baby is here and we can schedule". Once the baby was born, I messaged her asking to schedule and it took her 5 days to respond, and the date she gave me would make my baby 3 weeks old. I agreed & asked her if there was any way that I could pay an additional fee to have the photos expedited because I didn't want to wait 3 additional weeks for the photos because my baby would be almost 2 months old by the time we got them. No response for 5 more days, and by this point it had been a month since the maternity shoot and we still hadn't even received those photos back. I had been more than nice to her in all of my correspondence, but after a month of not getting the photos, I sent a very stern message to her explaining my frustration. She finally replied and said she had sent me the album a week ago and to check spam. Lies. I had been checking spam daily and never got anything. She agreed to resend them and low & behold, I had them in my inbox instantly.. its a miracle! In the folder, I could see the date she added them and it was definitely not done a week ago.. she tried to make an excuse about having a cold and not wanting to come do the newborn photos and I put my foot down and said absolutely not, we will be keeping the date for the newborn photos.. I wasn't going to let her ghost me yet again. The day came for the newborn shoot & she arrived and set up a blanket on the floor in front of a window to do the pictures. Not what I expected, but oh well. She took every single photo of my son with him laying on his back... no other positions. I was too worried to say anything confrontational to her because I didn't want to get scammed out of my money and have her never send the newborn photos, so I just kept my mouth shut. Fast forward, we're now 3.5 weeks from the time she took the newborn photos and I still haven't received them and again she is ignoring all of my messages. Side note: she added me on her personal account a few days after my newborn photo shoot. I added her thinking okay well if I need to contact her, this is probably faster. Nope, she doesn't reply there either. Oh, and if you think you'll comment on one of the public posts on her page, she'll delete it immediately but still not respond to your messages.
*UPDATE: I finally got a response from her about my newborn photos and she said she will get send them soon as she's working on them now.. 3.5 weeks later. I got the photos back a few hours later & am less than satisfied. The editing on the maternity photos we had done was great. The photos were beautiful & well edited.. the photos we just got back of the newborn shoot, the editing looks like she rushed through them & looks absolutely amateur. I'm so aggravated I don't even have words. Hoping I can attempt editing them myself to make them look a little better. Oh well.

Stay far, FAR away. I don't know if she just over books herself or what her issue is, but regardless, there's ZERO excuse for it. Her photos are very nice and edited well, but the wait and the hassle of trying to get in contact with her is NOT worth it. I'll just pay more and go elsewhere next time.

This photographer is running a scam. She offers cheap mini-sessions asks you to pay up front, provides you with a date for your session, and then cancels. Once she has your money she is difficult to communicate with and is notorious for cancelling sessions the day of. She offers to "reschedule" and then doesn't respond. Since experiencing this, I have found several other negative reviews with similar behavior. I have also read that some people never got their images from her. BEWARE!

Last May Brinklow did an "sweet deal" for a mini session for $50, therefore my fiance and I decided we should do the mini session to test out the waters to hire her maybe for our wedding, I am SO glad we did not. She took 5 minutes of her time to take our pictures, forced us to do weird poses that did not flatter us, and then we received an email two weeks later with 8 pictures on it that all looked like complete st. Also, she knew this was an engagement session and I had to ASK her to take pictures of my ring! She was rude, rushing, and did not take the time or effort it takes to be a good photographer. I would not recommend her to anyone, it's a WASTE of money.

Review: On March 29, 2015 we had a "Easter photo session" with K.Brinklow Photography where we paid $60 for a CD with the pictures as well as the Copyrights to them. I have contacted the owner, Kristin Brinklow, multiple times and I still have not received the CD. She sent me an email with an attachment of the photos but that is all I have received. She has told me multiple times that she will send it to my address but she has not.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund for the $60 due to the fact that these pictures were taken of my daughter when she was 3 months old, she is now 7 months old and the pictures are outdated and I already have them in an email to remember them by. The disc is useless to me now.

Review: I have contacted [redacted] several times through her Personal and photography [redacted] pages and have yet to hear from her in regards to rescheduling a session. I then opened a PayPal dispute to get a refund of my $60 as I wanted a session before December to have these pictures before Christmas because we give them as gifts. I know for a fact I am not the only client with a poor communication complaint. Once I filed the dispute on [redacted] she then emailed me and refused to give me a refund. I do not have available time to schedule a session before Christmas and would not have the pictures back in time to order any prints. My last email to her I stated I did not want to reschedule and will no longer be using her photography services and would like my $60 refunded and did not respond. I paid for these services in September and have not and now WILL NOT be continuing my business with k. Brinklow photography. I want a $60 refund.Desired Settlement: I really would like my $60 back.

Review: I scheduled family pictures for June 27, 2015 with K. Brinklow Photography. I paid a $40 down payment towards the session but it was canceled due to inclement weather. Ms. Brinklow gave me the option of two makeup dates but both were during a previously scheduled out of state vacation. I asked for alternate scheduling and have yet to hear back from Ms. Brinklow. I have tried contacting her numerous times via phone, email, and Facebook and have had no communication since June 28, 2015.Desired Settlement: I would like my $40 fee refunded.

Review: I ordered a photography package that included a 30 minute mini session. The photographer has not responded to my [redacted] emails on both her personal or business accounts. I have also sent numerous emails to her business email account to ask for a refund with no response. I referred a friend to her a few months back and she has been communicating with my friend but for some reason will not respond back to my repeated requests. I am asking for a full refund due to not responding.Desired Settlement: I just would like my money back since I am not getting the services I have paid for.
