in 2012 I purchased from Kendall County Air, the inside and outside a/c unit for $6025.00 for a trane brand
I was at work when installed and did not receive a phone call or anything that there was an issue
didn't know anything was wrong till dec 2018 when the heat strip went out. was told that the heat strip was in an area
that could not be reached to replace even though the parts have 10 yr warranty. called KCA and someone came out and said
it had been installed to high up to get to the heat strip, KCA responded back and said they would uninstall and reinstall to put the new heat strip in, for aprox $500.00. I felt like it was KCA responsibility to replace for free, since they knew when it was installed that this heat strip could not be reached to replace and I never gave an ok or knew of the installation issue. I purchased 2 electric heaters that just kept me from freezing but I was not very warm. So after spending $6025.00 in 2012 for this unit, I was left with no heat and KCA refusing to do anything for free. I contacted them again in June on line and they said in an email they would get back to me and to this date have not. I am not looking forward to another winter of being cold, are there any options for me. Thank You

We actually reached out to our client and performed this repair at absolutely no cost.

The problem was that with a filter rack on the bottom of the unit in the closet, you could not access the heat strips at the top to replace them if they ever failed. Since we had no documentation of explaining that to the home owner at the time of the original replacement, we decided to go ahead and do the whole thing at zero cost to the client.

We hate miscommunication and hope that this will prove our dedication to our client's decision in doing business with our company.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The end result of the complaint is that the company sent two very qualified repair people out and they spent a great deal of time uninstalling and reinstalling the inside a/c unit and replaced the heating element that had gone out but was under warranty, so that I now have heat as needed. They also made it possible that all areas of the unit can be reached for any future repairs. I cannot say enough good things about *** and ***.

Joseph O and Francisco M were very thorough in problem solving what I thought was a malfunction issue with the new thermostat that KCA put in back in February. The thermostat was fine, but the new device which was on an exterior wall, was not blocking the outside frigid air like the last thermostat, and therefore the thermostat was registering the room temp 20 degrees lower than the actual temp of room, thus causing the heat pump to not only run continuously, but also using the auxiliary heat function due to the temperature differentials. They used a special putty to block the wall space from the cold air, and completely allowed the thermostat to function properly. Great problem solving. They also provided a great explanation of everything they were doing from start to finish - extremely caring and professional. Would highly recommend both technicians!!

Just had my semi-annual checkup on my A/C systems. Joe and Frank came out right on schedule, performed all the checks/tests, and helped with one problem I was having. Joe has been here before. This was Frank’s first visit. They did a great job. Explained everything, and were very courteous and friendly. Thanks to Joe and Frank of KCA.

KCA service HVAC expert Joseph O worked through a cold, wet, dark evening to locate the problem with our heating unit. He was skilled and through in his inspection and servicing of the unit. After diagnosing the problem he was quick to point out that much of the needed repair was covered by the Mfg. Warranty. We appreciate his hard work and true dedication to customer satisfaction. We have used KCA since 2001 for all of our HVAC work on new and existing construction. We obviously are very happy with the quality of their work and excellent service.

Kendall County Air responded quickly when my old heat pump went out. One of their employees, Sabrina, came out to the house and gave me several options to choose from. She was my point of contact with KCA. She was professional and easy to work with. The system I chose was installed the next day and I am happy with the system.

My Ac went out so I called Kendal country air. I told their sales rep that the last system wasn’t adequate. He said with the new system it won’t be a problem. I said we should put in a larger system and he said we will make it right. After over 7000.00 dollars they put in the same size system with no improvements. We can’t get our house lower than 80 degrees untill around 10pm. Very disappointed with the system. He said it was designed according to the square footage of the house, now how is that helping me? I also was left with the heater not hooked up, he said they weren’t licensed to hook up a propane heater so I had to buy the parts and hook it up myself!

We performed 2 maintenance inspections with records that the unit was running properly at the time of inspections. I would love to give you a call to see how else we can help!

Our AC went out in the middle of May with record 100 degree temps.
AC companies were extremely busy but KCA still came to our home that day. Our ac was 25 years old and was done. KCA evaluated our home, the right seer, team was very professional and put in a new Rudd system, at a very fair price. I was impressed that they were always exactly on time, left the house clean and the AC is now better then it has been in years.
