Revdex.com:
I didn’t mean to start a battle. I just wanted to get the work finishedThe purpose of the complaint was that simple. It was certainly never my objective to hurt KCLC’s business. I was very pleased with the quality of work that did get done, and the men who did the work were very professionalIt is my understanding that KCLC does not want to finish the job. If my understanding is correct, then the Revdex.com should close its file and treat the complaint as resolved I accept that decision.

Case #***
To whom it may concern,
In response to your referenced complaint(s)Let me begin by informing you of the couples disingenuous attempt to mislead you, the Revdex.com
These individuals live together and are not marriedThe agreement and
contract was with *** *** alone, not *** is her live in boyfriend. My perception is that they are vindictively abusing your reporting system to their own ends and purposefully adding complaints to make me look bad
Here is the timeline:
Job opens
work commences
They take A 3-week vacation in the middle of the job and it causes the work stop
Ordered door from her info from a magazine from ***’s priced at $399+ tax plus painters caulk for door jam, any nails or screws we would need to install screen doorNot charging her with no additional charge for installation
she obtains pricing from *** (against store policy and is still being investigated)
She orders door with additional amount for installation, making it seem as though price is higher
Will not allow us to finish work and then complains about shoddy workmanship(its unfinished)We had to find a specialty color grout caulk to match the grout color she supplied , which she was in charge of supplying all materials and yet I had to research the grout caulk to locate where I could find someI ended up ordering some that took business to get here and then I found more in San Antonio, which I also drove 45-mile out of my way to purchase extra tubes, I realized we would needStill have not been paid for the extra materials I bought, nor has she acknowledged the time or gas I’m out
Outstanding balance left, with no acknowledgment on ***'s partShe ordered another door and left me stuck with almost a $doorAnd no final payment was ever received and % of the job was completed
I fell that the obvious attempt to misinform you the Revdex.com by filing multiple complaints is evidence enough to warrant the dismissal of this complaint and I formally request that both be removed*** was a boyfriend and had nothing to do with my contract with *** ***. How could he file against me as well? I have a family that relies on me to keep are bills paid and for *** and *** to try to hurt my business due to their actions causing the delays, such as the -week vacation in the middle of the job, unpaid bill, materials I’m out of pocket, delay of job due to grout caulk not on job site that she was in charge of supplying materials on all tile work
Please feel free to call me anytime with questions
Thank You,

Revdex.com:
I didn’t mean to start a battle.  I just wanted to get the work finished. The purpose of the complaint was that simple.  It was certainly never my objective to hurt KCLC’s business.  I was very pleased with the quality of work that did get done, and the men who did the work were very professional. It is my understanding that KCLC does not want to finish the job.  If my understanding is correct, then the Revdex.com should close its file and treat the complaint as resolved.  I accept that decision.

[redacted]

This business was recommended by a local realtor. Final work (walk-in tile shower installation) was satisfactory, but experience and caliber of workers was very poor. They were messy, careless and did not follow directions from foreman or installation of fixtures. An adjoining wall was damaged during demolition, requiring additional unnessesary repairs. The shower door was not installed correctly causing it to leak, requiring additional work after job was completed. The owner became very angry and rude, when he misunderstood a comment from his foreman about the final payment. He was apologetic afterwards, but this behavior is unacceptable.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
My name is [redacted], and I’m writing in regard to [redacted]’s response to claims Case #[redacted] and #[redacted], one was in writing and the other was supporting documents that were mailed.  Although this is my house, [redacted] lives with me, and I consider it our home.  This is significant because he was involved with this project from the time we met Mr. [redacted] February 14th.    We contacted the Revdex.com, because this was a very stressful situation for both of us and hopefully it will prevent others from a similar experience.  There are two specific complaints:
I paid Mr. [redacted] $431.91on May 7th for a storm door.  He said he got a 10% contractor’s discount from [redacted] and would pass it on to me.  When he delivered the door June, 23rd, he said that it had come in with brass hardware instead of the nickel I wanted, and if it was reordered it would be another two weeks before it would be in.  He offered to hang the door he brought, and replace the hardware that would cost him $100.00.  I told him to reorder the door, so he didn’t have to buy nickel hardware.  Two weeks later, I began e-mailing him about the door, his reply was that he checked with [redacted] and they would call him when it was in.  When I checked with [redacted]’s on July 14th, I found out, that the door Mr. [redacted] brought on June 23rd never had to be ordered in the first place, because they stock it in store with brass hardware.  He returned it that morning, and ordered one with the nickel hardware that won’t be in until the July 28th.  Also, his cost was $340.48 for the door, and I could get it for $358.40.  Instead of passing on his 10% discount, Mr. [redacted] marked the door up 24.5%. On July 15, I sent Mr. [redacted] an e-mail saying, “Under the circumstances, I think it is only right you refund my $431.91, and I’ll arrange to have [redacted]’s deliver and install it.  Also, after looking at the photos we took of the work you’ve done on the screen porch and tile, we’ve decided to hire another contractor to clean-up your job.”  Since then, he canceled the screened door that he ordered and hasn’t returned my money.
The prepping for the tile on the front and back porch began on June 23rd. The tile had been laid but not finished by July 15th when I notified Mr. [redacted] I was hiring someone else to complete the project.  The tile had to be repaired because the grouting hadn’t been properly washed and there was a grout haze. The cost of repairing and completing the tile and finishing the back porch was $1,250.00.  The caulk was purchased at [redacted]’s and is a good match. I’m sixty-eight years old, this was supposed to add the finishing touch to the dream home, instead, it turned into a nightmare.  I want to believe Mr. [redacted] entered into this contract in good faith, but in my opinion, KCLC Construction is a small business suffering growing pains, and Mr. [redacted] doesn’t have the necessary skills to manage time, finance or personnel efficiently enough to handle more than one project at a time.  I don’t plan on going to court because the cost both emotionally and financially would outweigh any benefit, but I am concerned that Mr. [redacted] does not consider that he has done anything wrong and will continue treating his clients the way he treated [redacted] and I.  I will be sending a timeline by mail.
 Respectfully,
[redacted] S. [redacted]@att.net
