Review: Kitchen Remodel on our [redacted] Home began 8/13/12 and is still not complete to our satisfaction. We were told the entire job would take 2-3 weeks for completion. The construction crew (sub-contracted by KDI and they were great, [redacted] and [redacted]) were consistently double-booked when they were scheduled to be at our job. I had my parents and in-laws stay at the house for hours waiting and KDI never called to inform us they would be late or not coming. I personally wasted days of potential overtime as well. The material needed was never available and they had to make countless trips to the warehouse daily. We discovered the kitchen design had flaws and had to wait weeks for the counter top template person and plumber. The carpenters finally gave up and did it themselves. We kept experiencing delay after delay and KDI never informed us at all. We had to get all of our information from the carpenters or I had to make numerous attempts at contacting KDI myself. After numerous conversations with [redacted] M from KDI, I wrote a letter explaining my dissatisfaction. I requested financial compensation. This was 9/19/12. The response received was insulting: $100 off. [redacted] M from KDI promised the job would be complete by Friday 9/21. The job was not completed that day. The following week, we experienced more of the same delays. I called KDI and left messages with the receptionist and [redacted] M that I wanted a call from the owner or someone else who could fix the problem. 9/28/12 carpenters didn't show up until I called KDI again-they were scheduled in the morning and it was after 2pm. Again, asked for a call from the owner-nothing. I withheld $295.00 from final payment because the floor trim around entry way is not complete. KDI mailed us a bill in December and I wrote a letter with pictures detailing problems."[redacted]" from KDI called after receiving the letter and was supposed to schedule the repairs. Haven't heard back from him; it has been 2 weeks. I want an invoice saying paid in fullDesired Settlement: Disregard the $295, send me an invoice saying paid in full and I will hire someone else to fix the floor trim. I don't want to deal with this company any longer, they do not deserve or appreciate the business they receive.
