I believe the patient has been contacted and the complaint has now been resolved Please contact me if this is not the case

I have reviewed the response made by Ms [redacted] on behalf of the [redacted] /Evangelista Eye Center for which I thank her I appreciate that Ms [redacted] acknowledges that the Eye Center erred in this case However, I am unable to accept or reject the resolution offered by Ms [redacted] at this time as it is not completely clear I would be happy to return to the eye center to see Dr [redacted] if he is to do my surgeryHowever, I would not want to return to the eye center simply for Dr [redacted] to refer me to another physician in the practice Ms [redacted] ' response does not say Dr [redacted] would be the physician to do my surgery When I was at the eye center on June 8, I was very emphatically told by Ms [redacted] that Dr [redacted] no longer performed "any" surgeries So, two questions remain: 1) Would Dr [redacted] actually perform my surgery? and 2) If Dr [redacted] has, in fact, reduced his surgical practice (which he has every right to do), would he have any animosity or ill feelings towards a patient who "forced" him to unwillingly do surgery when he has semi-retired? I have every confidence in Dr [redacted] or I would not have selected him to do my surgery to begin with However, I do not want him do my surgery if he is wanting to discontinue his surgical practice or if he feels for some reason he is no longer qualified to do so at this time Possibly you could request Ms [redacted] to respond to these questions so I could make a more educated decision If Dr [redacted] is currently unavailable to perform my surgery, then I would reiterate my original request for resolution which was that the [redacted] /Evangelista Eye Center not submit any billings to Medicare, any other insurer or myself for payment of the tests, exams, etccompleted on June 8, Thanking you, I am

Mr [redacted] has a legitimate complaint against our practice If he requested and scheduled to meet with a particular doctor, then that is the doctor he should have met with Dr [redacted] was scheduled to be in the office on Monday, June 8th, but had to leave town last minute, and asked that his patients be contacted and rescheduled with another MD or moved to a day when he would be back in the office Obviously, Mr [redacted] was not contacted in advance as Dr [redacted] requested, and was examined by the MD covering his clinic patients He should not have made it this far in our office before being told that Dr [redacted] was not in the office This was an error made on several levels and this will be discussed with all office staff in hopes that other patients do not have the same bad experienc in our office Dr [redacted] has decreased his surgery volume, but he does however still perform cataract surgery and he is asking that Mr [redacted] return to our office to meet with him (and only him) to discuss the results of the exam he had on June 8th Dr [redacted] is in the Arlington office all day on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 8:to 5:00, and will reimburse Mr [redacted] for travel expenses to return to our office Please let me know if this is an option and I will have someone contact Mr [redacted] to schedule the appointment.I appreciate this being brought to my attention, and I apologize for the patients experience in our office and the time wasted

Mr***,Dr*** WILL perform your surgery if he is the surgeon you prefer. He still enjoys doing surgery, he just prefers to do it at his own pace, and is spending more of his time doing administrative work rather than being in the OR all day. I am certain he will see this request as a compliment and not as you 'forcing' him to operate. He will also appreciate you for bringing this issue to our attention!!!Thank you for giving us another chance. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and I thank them for working out a satisfactory resolution to this matter. I will contact Ms*** directly to set a time to see Dr***. Thank you for your assistance in this matter
