pricing.  When we list a car for sale online and on our lot, it is priced to its particular market.  We do not like to ever set a customer up for failure nor would we like to have anyone in a bad situation.  Kearns Motor Car strives to have as many repeat customers as possible and that is how our daily business is conducted.  In reference to the service issue, we apologize for any inconvenience, but we are happy we were able to solve the problem for the customer at no cost.  We will continue to try to get better as a company and try to assist as many customers as we can both in sales and service.

6-29-2017Revdex.com of Wisconsin10019 W Greenfield AvenueMilwaukee, WI 53214RE: Complaint ID #[redacted] [redacted]To Whom it May Concern:We reviewed the complaint made by [redacted] regarding the purchase and repairs for his 2007 GMC Yukon. We have also been in contact with a Representative of The...

Department of Motor Vehicles, Dealer Section, to review this complaint. It has been determined there has been no wrongdoing by our dealership that would warrant the return of this vehicle.  Furthermore that we have gone over and above to try to help the customer. We are a used car dealership that sells a large selection of preowned vehicles. All vehicles are inspected before sale and are sold AS IS. For this reason, we offer our customers the ability to purchase an aftermarket warranty.  [redacted] did purchase the aftermarket warranty and the warranty has covered the costs of the repairs mentioned in his complaint. [redacted] purchased his 2007 GMC Yukon on 2-21-2017. The mileage on the vehicle at the time of sale was 169,935. He brought his vehicle to our service department 3 times and repairs were made at no charge to Jason. After the 3rd visit it was determined the vehicle needed the engine replaced.  To help with the inconvenience Kearns Motor Car even dropped off and picked up the vehicle at Jason’s home and work (over a half hour away from our store).  He was also provided a free loaner vehicle to use in the meantime. The warranty company was contacted and they approved a used motor at $3200. The reman engine [redacted] is speaking about was not an option as we did not receive an approval for the amount of $3999 for this engine. It was explained to [redacted] that we would not spend the additional amount on this reman engine and we were already being shorted labor fees by the warranty company.  [redacted] also informed us he would not pay anything out of pocket to cover the cost difference of the two motors. When the vehicle was brought in to our service area it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced. We did the work and made the repairs based on the warranty authorization and the customer not approving additional fees for the engine he preferred.

Review: We purchased a 2008 ford expedition on July 16th 2013. The problem is they said they would take care of the bubbles in the paint on the front hood and rear tailgate, on the tailgate it was on the top and bottom. We have it in writing that they would take care of this before we purchased it. We took it back for them to fix and when we picked it up they didn't do anything with it,.Desired Settlement: We would now like it fixed in a body shop of our choice because they do not have a body shop.

Response:

In regards to the purchase of the Expedition we sold [redacted] and [redacted], there was paintwork discussed prior to completing the deal. So in that regards they are correct. However after the deal was done, and approximately a week later when the vehicle was dropped off at our store to have the paintwork completed, [redacted] had asked us to do additional repairs and additional paintwork that was not previously discussed. We did complete the paintwork he was told we would do, prior to signing, and we did not do any of the additional paintwork he requested. We are not interested in paying a body shop to do repairs that were not discussed prior to making a deal.

Response:

We are new to Jefferson County and received a flyer for a special sales event that had a pull tab game card attached to the flyer stating that a match for the second line was $5000 cash and to call the number and give the confirmation number to claim the prize.
When calling we were told to appear in person at the Dealership in Johnson Creek. My husband went to the dealership and was asked multiple questions about employment, income... and then told it was for advertising purposes only and went on trying to sell a car.
Following this experience, WE WILL NEVER purchase a car from this dealership. It was a Bait-and-Switch scam. Shame on you Kearns!

The salespeople at the business were polite, and the process was painless. BUT! One month after owning my used vehicle the engine was totaled. Estimated repair costs were almost as expensive as the vehicle! I understand the vehicle was sold as-is, but I would expect more from a respectable business. I most certainly would not recommend Kearn's Motor Car Company to another person. Words of advice: Warranties are negotiable, and buy certified.
