Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/14) */
In late October 2011, Keegan Engineering was one of the participating vendors, who held a raffle for a $400.00 value toward the labor cost of a engine build. The entry fee was $20.00. After the event, the customers information was collected and...

the customer was given documentation of proof of winning the raffle. Several months later into the 2012 calendar year, the customer contacted Keegan Engineering to start a build on his 1997 Subaru short block. The $400.00 value was going to cover the dis/assembling of the engines short block. Shortly after starting work on the engine, Keegan Engineering received a call from the customer, saying he wanted to go to a larger displacement engine. We agreed on him purchasing a larger engine block from me (Keegan Engineering). Parts were purchased for the larger engine. Also during the conversation, the customer expressed that he wanted to port out his cylinder heads and that he was waiting on a settlement check to arrive so he could finish his build. At time the project was set aside for the customer to send the rest of the parts he wanted work on. After sometime, the customer called and stated that he wanted to go back to his original plan. I tried to send the parts back that I purchased, but due to time, I was not able. I had another customer at the time thinking of going with the same build, but decided not too leaving me with these parts. Currently I'm stuck with some of the original parts I purchased for his build. This amount adds up to approximately $780.00. From the months of February to October, it is a very busy time for my company due to the fact I must provide engines to my customers under strict time restraints for them to meet deadlines for racing events. The engine has been worked on during available down times. Currently both parties have agreed that Keegan Engineering will have the completed engine finished by 6/30/15. But the matter of the non refundable parts has not yet been resolved.
