Keenan Construction Co Reviews (2)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I filed a complaint against Keenan Construction of [redacted] , [redacted] in August after repeated attempts to resolve his absence from my projevt[redacted] , took $37,from me and abandoned the project contracted forHe claims I owe him moneyI have repeatedly tried to contact him by email, voicemail, text messages, and phone callsHe made a $7,mistake on the final billI contacted him immediately and informed him of his mistakes on June He agreed and I noted it on both invoices he left at my home being renovated, with his approvalHe later came by, picked up the invoice and cashed the final check for $17,He never finished the projectThere are decks to be built, holes in walls to be patched, trim molding and hardware for the doors to installCloset doors, bedroom doors were never installedAdditionally, he did a terrible job installing the bathroom floor tiles, it needs to be redone, left grout on them for two weeks while he disappeared, but before he did, he walked throughout the home leaving the tile grout from his boots on my newly sanded, polished hardwood floors on both levels of the home! The tub tile has not been completed making it impossible to use the showerI have cancelled checks, pictures, and contractsHe lied on his response to the Revdex.com and then sent me letter after letter threatening me with slander and a lien to the propertyThe letters again, are filled with lies and he never addressed the issue of why he won't meet with me to resolve this issueThe Attorney General's Office had sent him requests to meetHe has not respondedThis person does not want to face me and explain himselfIf he was free from guilt it shouldn't be a problemDo not hire [redacted] from [redacted] , [redacted] to do anything! He is not honest nor is he reliableI have repeatedly asked him to complete the project or give me my money back including damages to the tile and hardwood floorsHe does not respondWondering why he continues to keep MULTIPLE copies of the home's keysWhat is his intent? I want [redacted] to meet with me at the [redacted] to justify his behavior and make restitutionHe is being given the opportunity to remedy the situationWhy doesn't he respond? This is no way to run a businessYou don't threaten customers who have paid you in good faithHis answer is to lie, threaten, and stealHe boasts of an A+ rating with the Revdex.comHe doesn't even deserve an F! I am happy to share pictures, cancelled checks, his letter to me, house tour, etcwith anyone who wants proofI am disputing his lie-filled response to the Revdex.comBe a man and take responsibility for your words and actions [redacted] Consumers, beware! Stay away from Keenan Construction Regards, [redacted]

I want to start by thanking you for allowing us to respond to the above stated complaintThis job and [redacted] has been a tough situation when the customer is unresponsive to the needs of the jobOver the past several months, we have tried to complete a job that an other contractor started and didn't finishWith that said, we thought we could correct or untie the problems and that the customer was experiencingWhen meetings could only be scheduled on a late Friday afternoon, not getting us answers on product or designs, makes the project even harder to complete in a timely manner Moving forward with this conversation brings us to the point of responsibilityWe, Keenan Construction Company, Inc., pulled a permit with the understanding we were going to be part of the projectAs a manipulator, whether non intentional or deliberate, we were pushed a side and an other carpenter was hired directlyAll monies for the job was given to them and not KeenanNow that the job was given away, we had no responsibility to the job because there was no consideration to us to bind the contractWe never received one dime and we were never present at one inspection on the propertyI learned the other contractor walked off the job because I received a call from the plumber tell me what happened and asked me to talk to the customer which I agreed Dating the time schedule back to the winter months, the owner approached me and said" that she is going to loose the insurance on the house." Her and I talkedI told her that I could work around that an make things happen [redacted] said"no." "She was going to work things out and not to worryShe wanted to take her time and do things rightTime is not an issue because she has an other place to liveI said okay." The reason that the insurance was lost was in due part because of her non decision making processThe owner herself told the insurance company that the house was under major renovations and that is when the insurance policy was severedDuring this time, [redacted] gave us a time limit several months later that she had a dead line when we were told to take our timeThat date was 6/15/and was completed for an occupancy permit on 6/11/ Keenan jumped through high hurdles to complete this because I had to contend with her subcontractors that she kept and had to manage Along with getting this job completed was a job to get paid and still trying to get paidDuring the process of getting things completed, we asked for monies down to get the job started which we receivedAfter that, it was always a struggle to get answers or moniesI had to wait several weeks to get monies and checks that were short in expectations of were they should beAll the monies that were paid were in due for the completion of each part of the projectThe last check was for $17,The actual check minus some expectations on some extras was suppose to be $17,On a note at this point, the monies were given because the jobs were complete and inspected by the ownerWe are always happy when the customer is satisfied that the work is satisfactory and the monies are paid Several weeks later, we completed the occupancy permit as noted aboveWith this completed, inspectional services, gave a thumbs up that everything is safe and in good working orderThey do the inspections to protect the customer and the contractors from harms wayThat would mean that the house has one full working bathroom and one full working kitchen as well as all the mechanicals are safe throughout the property. As we progressed forward with the job, several extra issues outside the contract needed to be addressed as wellWith a week left to complete the job contracted for, we sent [redacted] an email explaining that we would like an other money drawWith one week left for two men, we asked for $out of the balance of $That would pay us the monies owed, to pay for materials and the balance of $to be paid on completion with the balance of any extra work that may be needed to be completed [redacted] said" no! you have been over paid and why would I pay you more that what is owed." If I can't receive monies that are owed one week out for a percentage down to complete the job, how are wee going to collect any monies at the end plus the extras that the customer wants completed In summation, we tried to show how we were duped in the beginning, but went back to help this womanIn the end, we are being dupedKeenan Construction Company, Inc has an A+ rating with the Revdex.comWe have not had one complaint in almost years of businessAll most all our work is word of mouth and pride ourselves on our reputationI believe that Miss [redacted] is tarnishing that and smearing our reputation with allegationsI have since provided her with a letter of intentThat letter spell out this same issue and/or legal action that will ensue if the disparaging remarks don't stopShe alleges that she wants monies back and is the most ridiculous thingAll our work is professional and we stand by thatIf we make a mistake, we correct that and move on and not put fault on someone else's shouldersThere are a lot of insinuations that have been presented on her part and that's what they areApproximately people on this job site, including sub contractors, can attest to her crazy behaviorThe only question is: what is a [redacted] that the owner, [redacted] spoke of? I have never heard of that.If for some reason that the Revdex.com needs more information, please don't hesitate to callHave a great day [redacted] Owner
