Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my is***s and/or concerns in reference to complaint #***First,*** does not even spell my name correctly Second, the original contract was for approximately $39, As of June 3, he was paid $37, He made a $7,mistake in the FINAL bill Yes, the FINAL bill to "Finish the project." this mistake was brought to his attention with a phone call the day I arrived to pick it up He agreed I adjusted the bill with his permission Never did he state that I owed him more money I wrote the final check, he picked it up, along with the bill, and cashed it If he had any is***s why didn't he call me? Instead, he sent me a text weeks later telling me that I owed him $7,plus and he was "moving on" if I didn't pay himI tried repeatedly to contact him to discuss his mistake I told him I would meet him at the house I waited hours, he never came His worker, *** tried calling him He owed both she and her husband money She said he wasn't answering her calls either*** neglects to address his accounting errors He neglects to address the damage he did to my newly sanded and polished hardwood floors which, by the way had to be done twice due to the inferior job done the first time Mop marks could be seen on both floors so it was done again He neglects to address the fact that he told me to wear socks when I walked through the house yet he walked throughout the home with grout encrusted boots thus ruining the floors Feel free to drop by to check out the white haze on them He asked *** to "***"them to remove this residue Really? It made it worse He does not address the horrific job he did installing (?) the bathroom floor tiles They are literally crooked, sticking up, and hazardous to walk on I have had tile men in and they laughedBold me it needs to be removed*** told me to put black *** check marks on the tiles that needed to be replaced I spent one half hour on my knees doing just that and he never came back to remedy the situation as he said he would There was a witness to this I now not only have a ridiculous looking floor, it has black check marks all over it! He neglects to mention that he did not complete the shower installation rendering it impossible to take a showerThe towel bar and toilet aper holder sit on the floor There are holes throughout the home and outlets He covered the outlets with covers and never patched the holes The attic floorboards remain unattached Closet doors never installed Two decks not taken care ofKitchen cabinet hardware installation incomplete as he made a hole in the wrong spot and never installed the drawer pull as I told him to Holes in the ceiling never repaired It goes on and on That's what I got for $37,000! *** is afraid to meet with me because he knows what he has done Why does he continue to ignore the *** *** Office to meet and settle this face to face? He does not address this because he has a lot to hide Where is he? Hiding in the shadows Where are the multiple sets of keys he made? BWhy does he continue to hod onto them Why does he not answer my phone calls, voice mails, text messages, emails? Yet answers phone calls from the plumber? I have repeatedly asked him to meet me so this can be resolved amicably Why does he hide? If there is a problem, communication is the way to resolve it Call me**, let's meet and straighten it out I have been asking you for months to meet with me You have my number Call me If you continue to threaten me and hide, you obviously are afraid of the truth I am a single teacher who wants to get on with her lifeYou have always been paid when you requested payment yet, the job didn't get done You have purposely vandalized my home and performed inferior work Who in their right mind would leave grout on brand new tile for two weeks? Who in their right mind would walk throughout a home with grout on the soles of their boots after the floors had been sanded/polished for the second time leaving gray footprints in every room Why do you not address these is***s? You are being held accountable for your unprofessional business practices It can easily be resolved by sitting down and discussing it, amicably Do what you said you would do and stop lying and threatening me By the way, my name is spelled *** cashing $37,worth of checks, I would think you would know that
Regards,

Hello:  I am flabagasted that we are back at this again. Over the past couple of weeks, Mrs.[redacted] has created unwanted tention to us . herself and the Revdex.com. She has not proved that we have done anything wrong, but only insinuates. We did receive a check for the amount of $17,000.00. This was not a final check, but a progress payment check against the work that was done. It is clear to us, that [redacted] wants it to be the final check and have Keenan Construction finish the project at our expense. We spelled this out in a registered letter that we sent her and our intentions in that letter. We feel we can't make it any more simple to her as we did.      In summation, our intentions and our resolve has been spelled out in our registered letter to the owner. It is clear that Mrs [redacted] wants to create more banter. We asked for a partial payment to clear up the project, outside of any extras, and the balance to be paid on completion. She wants no part of that. What is most concerning about this issue that we are revisiting, is that we tried to resolve this and she continues to ask for free things. A plumber on the job had a meeting on the job site with her and discussed what was happening on my behalf, tried to make reason and he had problems. Why did she not mention this in her brief. We have had no contact by any agencies to our post office box nor should it be any concern but ours. As a professional, we as well have before and after pictures to track the process. With that said about the above stated complaint, we feel as if Mrs[redacted] is stretching the truth and is mis leading as well as miss trusting about her information. Thank you for the opportunity to respond. Have a great day.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].   I filed a complaint against Keenan Construction of [redacted],** in August after repeated attempts to resolve his absence from my projevt.[redacted], took $37,000 from me and abandoned the project contracted for. He claims I owe him money. I have repeatedly tried to contact him by email, voicemail, text messages, and phone calls. He made a $7,100 mistake on the final bill. I contacted him immediately and informed him of his mistakes on June 3. He agreed and I noted it on both invoices he left at my home being renovated, with his approval. He later came by, picked up the invoice and cashed the final check for $17,000. He never finished the project. There are decks to be built, holes in walls to be patched, trim molding and hardware for the doors to install. Closet doors, bedroom doors were never installed. Additionally, he did a terrible job installing the bathroom floor tiles, it needs to be redone, left grout on them for two weeks while he disappeared, but before he did, he walked throughout the home leaving the tile grout from his boots on my newly sanded, polished hardwood floors on both levels of the home! The tub tile has not been completed making it impossible to use the shower. I have cancelled checks, pictures, and contracts. He lied on his response to the Revdex.com and then sent me letter after letter threatening me with slander and a lien to the property. The letters again, are filled with lies and he never addressed the issue of why he won't meet with me to resolve this issue. The Attorney General's Office had sent him requests to meet. He has not responded. This person does not want to face me and explain himself. If he was free from guilt it shouldn't be a problem. Do not hire[redacted] from [redacted],** to do anything! He is not honest nor is he reliable. I have repeatedly asked him to complete the project or give me my money back including damages to the tile and hardwood floors. He does not respond. Wondering why he continues to keep MULTIPLE copies of the home's keys. What is his intent? I want [redacted] to meet with me at the [redacted] to justify his behavior and make restitution. He is being given the opportunity to remedy the situation. Why doesn't he respond? This is no way to run a business. You don't threaten customers who have paid you in good faith. His answer is to lie, threaten, and steal. He boasts of an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. He doesn't even deserve an F! I am happy to share pictures, cancelled checks, his letter to me, house tour, etc. with anyone who wants proof. I am disputing his lie-filled response to the Revdex.com. Be a man and take responsibility for your words and actions[redacted]. Consumers, beware! Stay away from Keenan Construction.
Regards,
[redacted]

I want to start by thanking you for allowing us to respond to the above stated complaint. This job and [redacted] has been a tough situation when the customer is unresponsive to the needs of the job. Over the past several months, we have tried to complete a job that an other contractor started...

and didn't finish. With that said, we thought we could correct or untie the problems and that the customer was experiencing. When meetings could only be scheduled on a late Friday afternoon, not getting us answers on product or designs, makes the project even harder to complete in a timely manner.
Moving forward with this conversation brings us to the point of responsibility. We, Keenan Construction Company, Inc., pulled a permit with the understanding we were going to be part of the project. As a manipulator, whether non intentional or deliberate, we were pushed a side and an other carpenter was hired directly. All monies for the job was given to them and not Keenan. Now that the job was given away, we had no responsibility to the job because there was no consideration to us to bind the contract. We never received one dime and we were never present at one inspection on the property. I learned the other contractor walked off the job because I received a call from the plumber tell me what happened and asked me to talk to the customer which I agreed.

Dating the time schedule back to the winter months, the owner approached me and said" that she is going to loose the insurance on the house." Her and I talked. I told her that I could work around that an make things happen. [redacted] said"no." "She was going to work things out and not to worry. She wanted to take her time and do things right. Time is not an issue because she has an other place to live. I said okay."  The reason that the insurance was lost was in due part because of her non decision making process. The owner herself told the insurance company that the house was under major renovations and that is when the insurance policy was severed. During this time, [redacted] gave us a time limit several months later that she had a dead line when we were told to take our time. That date was 6/15/14 and was completed for an occupancy permit on 6/11/14.  Keenan jumped through high hurdles to complete this because I had to contend with her subcontractors that she kept and had to manage.
Along with getting this job completed was a job to get paid and still trying to get paid. During the process of getting things completed, we asked for monies down to get the job started which we received. After that, it was always a struggle to get answers or monies. I had to wait several weeks to get monies and checks that were short in expectations of were they should be. All the monies that were paid were in due for the completion of each part of the project. The last check was for $17,000.00. The actual check minus some expectations on some extras was suppose to be $17,925.00. On a note at this point, the monies were given because the jobs were complete and inspected by the owner. We are always happy when the customer is satisfied that the work is satisfactory and the monies are paid.
Several weeks later, we completed the occupancy permit as noted above. With this completed, inspectional services, gave a thumbs up that everything is safe and in good working order. They do the inspections to protect the customer and the contractors from harms way. That would mean that the house has one full working bathroom and one full working kitchen as well as all the mechanicals are safe throughout the property. As we progressed forward with the job, several extra issues outside the contract needed to be addressed as well. With a week left to complete the job contracted for, we sent [redacted] an email explaining that we would like an other money draw. With one week left for two men, we asked for $7364.00 out of the balance of $10364.00. That would pay us the monies owed, 2364.00 to pay for materials and the balance of $3000.00 to be paid on completion with the balance of any extra work that may be needed to be completed. [redacted] said" no! you have been over paid and why would I pay you more that what is owed." If I can't receive monies that are owed one week out for a percentage down to complete the job, how are wee going to collect any monies at the end plus the extras that the customer wants completed.
In summation, we tried to show how we were duped in the beginning, but went back to help this woman. In the end, we are being duped. Keenan Construction Company, Inc has an A+ rating with the Revdex.com. We have not had one complaint in almost 30 years of business. All most all our work is word of mouth and pride ourselves on our reputation. I believe that Miss. [redacted] is tarnishing that and smearing our reputation with false allegations. I have since provided her with a letter of intent. That letter spell out this same issue and/or legal action that will ensue if the disparaging remarks don't stop. She alleges that she wants monies back and is the most ridiculous thing. All our work is professional and we stand by that. If we make a mistake, we correct that and move on and not put fault on someone else's shoulders. There are a lot of insinuations that have been presented on her part and that's what they are. Approximately 14 people on this job site, including sub contractors, can attest to her crazy behavior. The only question is: what is a [redacted] that the owner, [redacted] spoke of? I have never heard of that.If for some reason that the Revdex.com needs more information, please don't hesitate to call. Have a great day.
