Review: I went to this chiropractic office for a scheduled 5:45 p.m. Appointment that was solicited from a public event held in the area several days prior to my appointment. I was told that I would pay $20 for a consultation that normally cost 60 dollars. When I arrived I was given paperwork to fill out and waited for approximately 20 minutes to be seen. I was then taken in the back to a room to watch a long video on the doctor explaining how his consultation is different from other chiropractors. Then I was moved to approximately 8 different rooms in the process of over 4 hours at this practice. I asked on several times if I could please just leave because I came right from work I had not eaten or seen my five children yet at all during that day. I was instructed to remove my top and bra and to put on a gown and everytime I asked if I could leave I was moved to a new room. Eventually hours later the doctor did a quick exam of my spine and informed me that I had many disc problems and my right ball and socket was out of joint. I went with no pain just for a consult since I am a dental hygienist and my posture is important for long term practicing my profession. They then took xrays and charge me upfront 43 treatments and wanted to schedule them in 3 days in a row. At this point it had been hours I just wanted to leave every time I would walk around trying to find my shirt and undergarment I was instructed to go to a new room and wait more. It was a very frightening event I just wanted to get home I felt that it was very misleading and scare tactics were used to get me to sign. I called the practice the next morning and talked to Muriel the doctor's wife who had me sign in the first place. I told her I wanted a refund for services not performed and I wanted a copy of my xrays. She tried to convince me to come back and then told me that they could not give me my xrays even though I had paid for them. I'm still waiting for a refund and I would like a copy of my xrays since legall and they are my propertyDesired Settlement: I would like refunded for the services I did not have performed which would be two treatments that they charge me four and also I would like my xrays and if they will not give me the xrays I would like a refund on the xrays..

July 16, 2014Dear [redacted],I want to respond to the patient that was upset after examination and XRays in our office. I am sorry she was upset and I have reimbursed her for the visits she paid for and did not use.We are quite thorough in our examinations and the night the patient came, she did have to wait because we were very busy and we apologized to her for her having to wait.After the exam, she chose to get Xrays and get the three treatments the doctor recommended for her. She was asked to remove her bra for the taking of the Xrays only, for diagnostic reasons. After the Xrays were taken, the patient told me her family wanted her to come home and I told her she could leave and come back the next day for treatment, but if we treated her tonight, she would feel much better tonight. She chose to stay and get treated. After her treatment she was pleased and said she felt a lot better and she made her other appointments before she left our office.The next day on the phone, I explained I would reimburse her for unused visits. I also explained our Xray policy. We do not make copies of Xrays because we have no equipment to make copies because it would increase the cost of the Xrays to patients. Instead, Xrays are always available for patients to take to doctor appointments, and are then to be returned as we are responsible for patients medical records,Muriel K[redacted] Office Administrator
