I purchased a 2017 Chevy impala Jan XX XXXX and now a $3000 repair is needed on the car and Right 1 is not willing to assume any responsibility.
I'm a grocery store manager and I need my car to get back and forth from work. I just purchased my car last year and now I need a $3000 repair. In time like these you would assume a company would be able to assist you. Instead they said I should trade it in.
Repair the car that was recently purchased
We are in receipt of Mr*** complaint dated April 13, 2020. While we are very sensitive to the hardships being faced by most of us during the Covid-19 crisis, we can not make the current crisis the basis for providing a repair at no cost to a vehicle that was purchased a year ago. Under our understanding NC law this would create an implied warranty, which is to say that if we give Mr *** a $3,000 repair at no cost, that is not covered by any warranty that was purchased or covered by a manufacturer's warranty, then we would be legally and ethically bound to treat every other customer the same way.
Our families are also feeling the impact of this crisis and we would be putting their future and the future of the dealership's existence in jeopardy, if we tried to cover every repair for every customer at no cost. We are happy to provide a discounted rate to assist Mr *** as a good *** gesture or to trade him out of this current vehicle into another vehicle if we are able to secure financing.
