This customer is very unstable and threatened my worker with a gunShe has made so many untrue accusations about me; my company; my workers and she is the one who kicked me off her job then proceeded to hire my workers behind my back and had them finish her demands while still using my, not my ex-husbands licenseIt's public record that I am the licensed Contractor and have always been licensed since She had no right to use my license to finish her work without my authorization and I have it all on videoI spent $20,of my own money trying to appease her and yes at the beginning I was hired but she agreed to let me sub this job out to Sione Manapule, the owner of Elite Masons because I was too busy to take on her workElite Masons built the back wall properly but the backfill that he used was bad so I had it all removed and replaced with good fillI even built another small retaining wall near her patio as she changed the design I ate most of that costI tried my best to work with [redacted] Knight but her behavior started to become more and more erratic with her exploding at my one worker who accidentally hit her home with a rockIt was an accident and she literally came out of her house yelling at him from the top of her lungs swearing at him you get off her propertyHe was simply trying to apologize and tell her he would fix it when she said, "do I have to go into my house and get my gun to make you leave?"At that point I advised my worker to leave and to call the police for her threat on his life his name is [redacted] Joshia and his wife Jade was present and witnessed the whole thingAt this point I pulled my whole crew off the job for their safetyI tried to make this right but when a homeowner who is in the military threatens us with guns I am required to keep my crew safes d I was not sure if she was suffering from PTSDThat's when she took it upon herself to contact my workers behind my back and without my knowledge and that is when she breached the contract with meI only found out about her using my guys because I needed some tools that I had left at her home and you my surprise I showed up to find a concrete truck in front of her house with my guys pouring her sidewalksI then took my tools and left.as far as I am concerned I did not breach the contract, [redacted] did and therefore, I do not owe her any moneyIn fact, she should be grateful that I did not report her bodily threats to her commanding officer nor did [redacted] press charges against her She got got more than what she paid for and was one of the most difficult and most erratic customer that I've ever worked forI do not owe her anything!

I'm sure this is only the first of many more complaints to come from this customerI basically ended up paying for about $40,of her $75,retaining wallsThe last two months everything was free for her but that isn't enoughYes, while trying to finish her job, my employer accidentally broke
her outdoor water pipe while following her very stringent and direct orders to grade her property according to her demandsWhen this happened we immediately called *** who came in and put a temporary plug on the leakI also took pictures of the damage and forwarded it to my insurance agent who opened a claim for the repairsIn the meantime it was discovered that the pipe was located directly behind the electrical outlet on the inside of their house so I called in an electrician who made sure that no one would get shocked and the wall was cut to allow the plumber to fix the problemThis occurred on SaturdayEverything was fine and the insurance Adjuster was to come in and do their job which would cover all expensesThe ***'s could not wait and insisted that it be done on the weekendI explained the process to them and said that everything would be covered once the Adjuster did their job.Compared to the $40,that I've already given them the $300+ is nothing so I will pay this bill too and I just hope that this will finally satisfy her.Of course I'm sorry about the damage to her house but it was an honest accident and my worker had her house and her best interest at heart

Complaint: ***
Cindy,I am rejecting this response because:I specifically asked you via
text what TYPE of bankruptcy you were filing with no response. I asked you this so I could do some preliminary research on my responsibilities in a bankruptcy. You did not provide any formal notice, nor did you provide an attorney's name or address. I had to find it on Revdex.com in your response to another complaint.I also hear through your masons (that's plural, more than one) that they were still finishing jobs for you after you abandoned my project
Sincerely,

***I am unaware of this $75,wall or the $40,she claims she has paid out of her own pockets for my project I have a signed contract that was dated on October 6, for the amount of $49,to complete my job according to engineering plans and a week time frame I would like to seek explanation to her statement. She stated that the damages could await being fixed No, it could not If she would have been more involved in the process then she would have known that the plumber that 1st came out to assess the damages installed a plug that stopped the leak “TEMPORARILY” Temporarily meaning that the main water line had to remain turned OFF because of the chance of the plug being ejected by the force by the water it was containing We would have to turn the main water line on and off when we had to shower, flush the toilets, wash dishes etcand to turn it off whenever we were not home just in case the “TEMPORARY” plug did not hold to prevent further damages The “TEMPORARY” plug was just that “TEMPORARY” We agreed to wait until on the 2nd day the “TEMPORARY” plug was no longer holding all the water and there was water dripping behind the panels into the walls We could not wait any longer So YES, we wanted it to be fixed IMMEDIATELY After numerous attempts to get in contact with her she finally answers our phone call We demanded a plumber to be sent over to fix this problem before more damages are done She replies with a text message saying she does not have the money and if we could pay the plumber when he gets here We said NO, we felt uncomfortable with that and that it was her responsibility as our contractor to take care of this matter The plumber arrived, fixed the issue within an hour He then attempted to reach Cindy *** owner of Kehaulani Masonry for payment and she would not answer the phone That’s when we were force to charge our cc $ I have receipt from the plumber stating that he attempted to contact Kehaulani Masonry who contacted him and scheduled the appointment and that she would not answer her phone after numerous attempts so the homeowner was forced to pay for it What type of company does that to their clients? She stated that she called her insurance company Yes, she did but that was it She did not engage to ensure the problem was being taken care of When we called to find out the status of her insurance company, her answer for weeks was “I’m awaiting an adjuster” Two weeks!! Awaiting for an adjuster while our walls and floor are flooded, our drywalls and insulation completely soaked in water and at this point, the smell of stagnant water surrounds our home for two weeks! We were especially worried about mold and bacteria growing behind the walls since it was at the week point and no action was being taken by Kehaulani Masonry or her insurance company At this time, we had no choice but to call our own insurance company and within hours the restoration company was here doing tests, removing wet drywalls and drying out or walls and floors It was said by our insurance company USAA that this should have been done on the very 1st day I am now paying out a $deductible hoping to collect reimbursement from her insurance companyBut this is not a guarantee. She also stated that it was my strict directives Yes, it was I strictly stated to the workers that the side of the house needed to be hand graded But they insisted that the excavator would work It was only after the operator damaged my side panels by smashing inches of dirt and rocks up against the house that they realized I was correct The next morning, the lead attempted to remove the excavator by backing it out While backing out, the water hose that was connected to the pipe got caught up in the tracks and it broke the pipe completely off causing water to fill up between my walls and eventually flooding my master bedroom Yes, I’m sure he had the best intentions but he should have assessed the surrounding and removed the hose from the pipe Instead he chose to run it over causing this issue. Lastly, I was not notified of this matter until I realized that my house did not have not water I asked the workers if anything happened and that’s when I was told They did not notify anyone, not even their boss Cindy *** I notified her and demanded she come to the property Yes, there will be more complaints filed on this contractor, her business and her work ethics Our contract ended on the 30th of January and it was agreed that I would not file any complaints or negative reviews until then, giving her a chance to finish my job On January 30, when a our contract ended we sent her a text for an explanation and she replied with the following message.…“Your job broke me financially and I had to file bankruptcy I used every last penny I had to try to finish your job and I still could not do it I sold my truck and am moving back in with my parents My business is destroyed You can contact my Attorney Blake Goodman for further communication and information regarding your job” ***Cindy, I did not cause your so called bankruptcy Your inability to manage your projects was the case of that A week project that ended up to be weeks (and still not complete), a foot wall that took weeks to build had to be knocked down because your workers did not do the correct footing of 2ft inches Instead it was only inches tall which I have a video of That’s all on you as a business owner You are responsible for the men you hire. I have left a message with her attorney to see if she indeed filed for bankruptcy, which means she should not be seeking estimate from other home owners or filing for any building permits under her business Keahulani Masonry, LLC as of the 30th of January 2017. This will be my last reply to this complaint on this particular insurance issue I will start to concentrate on the matter at hand for her breach in our contract by not finishing the job by the 30th of January as agreed upon I am currently doing a RICO complaint and getting assistance from KHON2action line newsIf there is anyone who have experienced this type of issues with this contractor please contact KHON2action line/Phyllis She would like hear from you Bottomline, I will do everything in my power to prevent this from ever happening to anyone else No homeowner deserves to deal with this type of contractor I am a retired veteran that served 20+ years and should be enjoying retirement life here on Oahu Instead I have been dealing with this issue for the past months+ It upsets me so much and I had to ensure that I stated only verifiable facts and keep my emotions and personal comment/slander out of this reply to the Revdex.comI think I did very well I hope this will help out anyone who is considering using this contractor Mahalo!

The facts as stated by complaintant are all based on her opinion and not based on facts.I did have two workers there who were taking too long to complete the job so I replaced them with new workersOnce this change was made then all the complaints started coming inAt the time I switched personnel
the work was about 80% completed and I had about days left to complete everythingIt's troublesome that the homeowner did not bring up any issues earlier nor did she have any problems with any of the issues that she listed in her complaintSo now I'm nearly done with her wall and she wants me to remove the whole wall because the wall has a mixture of blue rocks and moss rocks in itIt's true that my contract does say "moss" rock but I've used the same wording and same rock provider with many other customers and have never had a problemStructurally the wall is solid; esthetically the wall looks beautiful but because the rocks are not 100% moss she wants it removed.I did agree to remove it and have her hand pick the new moss rocksI have never made it difficult for her to communicate with me and I was always willing to do it all at my costI offered this to her right from the start but she kept saying that she needed more time to think about what she wantedI even offered to leave the wall and newly poured sidewalks in place and to walk away from the $8,that she still owed meAt first she said that she would accept me "putting the house back to its original state and walking away from the contracts"I said ok I'd do that then she changed her mind again and said no I want the existing 140' of wall ripped out and replaced with rocks that she approved of.So, as of today 12/28/we are working on a new contract to remove the entire wall and replace itI've asked her not to interfere or sit outside and interfere with my workersI did not agree to her or any homeowner dictating the time that I need to report to her house; when we can take lunch or what time we will finishThat's interfering with my ability to work and it's not necessary for her to try to micro-manage me or my workShe also agreed to stop contacting my rock provider and "other" Contractors who state that they know me and how I run my businessThe President and owner of the rock quarry called me two weeks ago and said that the homeowner not only went into speak with her but continues to email her and is calling herShe felt like this homeowner was "harassing" herI feel the same wayI have never said "No" to any of her demandsI've always been willing to work with her and she keeps threatening me with lawyers; RICO; Revdex.com and anyone else who will listenAs I've stated to her from the first time she complained, I'm willing to work with her within reasonI don't want a gun held to meet head and I don't appreciate incorrect accusationsI've worked extremely hard in growing my business and work hard to make sure that I give all my customers "value" for what they are paying forI also work hard for my A+ rating with you and I intend to keep itIt's unfortunate that we are here but it is what it isI've always been willing to fix this to her satisfaction as long as she was being fair and reasonableI hope with this new contract in place that she will let me do my job and then we can both move forward

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Everything written in my statement are facts based on facts and I have documentation to prove itThe complaints came on day one when a worker made a slide comment on raceHe was pulled off the job on day oneThe other remained and did work at a slower pace and there were complaints because they would show up hour late every morning and leave hour early every afternoonThe business owner did not find out until I personally called her and informed her that I need to leave early in the morning and was not going to be able to give them access to the electricity to the house and I needed to know when they would be arrivingHer response was "What? Their not there yet?!" It is true that I demanded to know when the workers would be here and leaving because I supplied the electricity for them to do their jobsThere is no exterior outletsThere was also a whole house electrical surge because if it which her workers failed to tell he aboutNo generator or bathroom was provided by the business ownerIf there were no complaints with the first workers, then they would not have had to be replacedI was informed by a Geologist that my wall is blue rock and not moss rockThe rock in my wall is bluish grey, angular, and doesn't have vesiclesThe business owner states that 80% of the wall is completedThat is not trueExample: If you order koa cabinets to be installed and the business then installs 80% of plywood cabinets...is the work really 80% completed??
As for contacting the president of the rock supplier, I have emailed her times and called times in the span of 1/weeksThat is not harassmentInitially, the president of the rock supplier was very helpfulShe apologized that this was happening to meShe also gave me a typed computer generated receipt that she shouldn't haveI found out she broke some contractor-supplier law by doing thatHer employee also wrote the wrong amount on the hand written receiptI see why she now wants to stay out of thisShe informed me that Cindy at Kehaulani Masonry threatened to sue her after she found out certain info was given to meI feel bad for her
It has come to my attention that there is additional damage to the property
I have agreed to allow Cindy at Kehaulani Masonry to demolish the blue rock wall, install a true moss rock wall and fix the pooling of the water, and other things in our contractShe has not mentioned how she will fix the damage as of nowIt is to be completed on Jan 23, I have not seen a new contract to date
I have text messages from her stating that the project was costing her too much money and she wasn't sure how she was going to proceedThis is what caused the delayI just want what was in the contractI want what I paid forI want proper clean up and no smoking or profanityI want to know that its a good jobI want people to show up when they say they are going to, unlike 3-times I have gotten text messages stating that they forgot or couldn't because they were held up with one thing or anotherI don't think that is too much to askEverything that I have stated is TRUE
Sincerely,

I filed Chapter bankruptcy in Per my current Attorney Blake G*** I am eligible to file Chapter which is what I didas I told Mr*** any correspondence needs to go through my Attorney

This customer is very unstable and threatened my worker with a gun. She has made so many untrue accusations about me; my company; my workers and she is the one who kicked me off her job then proceeded to hire my workers behind my back and had them finish her demands while still using my, not my...

ex-husbands license. It's public record that I am the licensed Contractor and have always been licensed since 2007. She had no right to use my license to finish her work without my authorization and I have it all on video. I spent $20,000 of my own money trying to appease her and yes at the beginning I was hired but she agreed to let me sub this job out to Sione Manapule, the owner of Elite Masons because I was too busy to take on her work. Elite Masons built the back wall properly but the backfill that he used was bad so I had it all removed and replaced with good fill. I even built another small retaining wall near her patio as she changed the design.  I ate most of that cost. I tried my best to work with [redacted] Knight but her behavior started to become more and more erratic with her exploding at my one worker who accidentally hit her home with a rock. It was an accident and she literally came out of her house yelling at him from the top of her lungs swearing at him you get off her property. He was simply trying to apologize and tell her he would fix it when she said, "do I have to go into my house and get my gun to make you leave?". At that point I advised my worker to leave and to call the police for her threat on his life his name is [redacted] Joshia and his wife Jade was present and witnessed the whole thing. At this point I pulled my whole crew off the job for their safety. I tried to make this right but when a homeowner who is in the military threatens us with guns I am required to keep my crew safes d I was not sure if she was suffering from PTSD. That's when she took it upon herself to contact my workers behind my back and without my knowledge and that is when she breached the contract with me. I only found out about her using my guys because I needed some tools that I had left at her home and you my surprise I showed up to find a concrete truck in front of her house with my guys pouring her sidewalks. I then took my tools and left.as far as I am concerned I did not breach the contract, [redacted] did and therefore, I do not owe her any money. In fact, she should be grateful that I did not report her bodily threats to her commanding officer nor did [redacted] press charges against her.  She got got more than what she paid for and was one of the most difficult and most erratic customer that I've ever worked for. I do not owe her anything!
