Keiser's Service Center Reviews (1)

Review: Car broke down on May 15th, 2013, towed to Keiser's Service center to diagnosis problem. On May 16th, [redacted] from service center called and stated that the issue was a bad clutch, and potentially a damaged pinwheel. He stated he would remove transmission and stated that the pinwheel also needed to be replaced. No other issues were identified. A quote of approximately 2400.00 was communicated and I gave authorization to perform the repairs. On May 16th I paid the balance in full over the phone and asked [redacted] to lock the key and receipt in the vehicle. At approximately 6:10 I arrived at the service center and started the car, I immediately noticed that the check engine light was on. At 6:15 I called the service center to notify them that the check engine light was on. The center was closed so I left a voicemail. On Friday, May 17th at 9:00 I called again and spoke to [redacted]. I expressed my concern that they would return the car to me when the check engine light was on. He stated the car had been taken for a test drive and they did not notice any problems. He told me to bring the car back and they would look at it. I returned to the service center at 2:30 and they looked at the vehicle. A diagnosis check was performed. Mechanic stated "had 3 cam actuator codes, problem is in engine further diagnosis needed not related to clutch". Mechanic that I would be billed for any further services. I immediately left the service center and had another diagnostic performed. Mechanic stated that the "cam position sensor" was on. He also stated the cam sensor is located on the botton middle section of the transmission (the transmission was removed to replace the clutch). When the vehicle was towed to the mechanic the "check engine" light was not on, I think it is reasonable to assume that this sensor was damaged during the repair.Desired Settlement: Resolve the cam position sensor at no additional charge.
