Our experience was a bad one and this company exhibited incompetence from the very first day. They came to our home to measure our window openings....without a tape measure. Then they mismeasured one window by an inch. 7 windows and one was different by an inch? No problem! Seems normal, right? The windows were ordered and when they had "come in" we were not told as soon as possible so as to set up an installation. No, I only found out when I called them, a month after the order was placed.
The installers did not put down tarps nor did they wear booties when coming into our home despite being in and out of our flower beds, in and out of the front yard cutting trim pieces. No, we had to mop our oak floors and vacuum the carpets after they were finished.
In addition, they broke the glass in our kitchen window when removing it from the frame. I had managed to clean the windows which involved just such a removal for over 30 years without having broken the glass; they couldn't. The following morning I nearly swallowed glass shards with my coffee! Glass was on the floor, in the sink, in drinking glasses, etc. and I continued to find glass for several days.
Regarding the clean up after the job, "they try really hard" I was told when I complained about the 3" screws, aluminum trim pieces, old caulking and window rollers left on the ground outside our 4' x 6' dining room window. "Trying hard" is what kids do at the Special Olympics. I expected better from people who have been doing such work for decades. I expected too much! The screens were faulty in 3 of the 7 average-sized windows; I found holes and places where the screening had pulled away from the frames on the day of installation. They needed to be replaced.
The interior trim didn't adhere. I was told this was "industry standard" when they were notified. They attempted to fix it using Super Glue which didn't work whatsoever. Later they showed up with construction adhesive, at my suggestion.
Yesterday I was looking at the caulking on the exterior of the house and found one spot where there was a hole between the exterior brick and the window frame into which I could insert a twig about 4". I filled it with caulk.
