Upon my initial visit to Mr*** house there was about 10' of gutter and fascia that had pulled away from the front porch roof as well as a 2' x 2' wide hole in the middle of the porch. Below this hole the soffit had pulled from the ceilingWe formed a contract in which we were going to
remove the entire roof on the porch so that the sheathing could be repaired and we would install Ice and Water shield on the whole porch roof , due to its low slope pitchAlso we would install new shingles at a shorter exposure , giving the roof a higher headlap which would also help the low slope installationAfter arriving to due the work Mr*** showed me a wet spot on the ceiling inside the house to the left of the front doorHis feeling was that the porch leak was backing up into the house I told him that I didn't think so and that I would remove shingles on the left side of the front dormer and reflashDid the job and then received a call back saying the interior leak was still thereWent back same thingWent back again on a Sunday and removed shingles from the field further out from dormerFound that the upper roof above the porch has two layers of shingles on itWhen removing the top layer of shingles found all of the nails holding that layer on were completely rusted outMeaning there it water getting under this layer from up aboveIf water is getting under the roof from above it can obviously come downhill and run into both house and porchI told him this when finding the rusted nailsMr*** after a while called my phone leaving a message stating how disappointed he was that this leak wasn't fixed and how me not ever answering calls or ever showing up to repair this problem was a breach of contract(1) I did go back at least twice to investigate and told him what I thought, that the upper roof is the problem(2) The shingles that I attempted to fix for him , up the side of the dormer were a jesture of good will and were never part of the original contract (3) Leaks on existing roofs are never warranted and will never beThe only warranty ever given by this company is if we have replaced your entire roofAs I can not warranty someone else's work that has two layers on it. I'm sorry that he has not listened to my advice and I'm sorry that he wants to disregard the two times I was there to fix it for him Maybe without the nasty message I would have come back more

[redacted] just completed a renovation of our home in Middletown. Since we were in another state [redacted] kept up with us on any issues and has done quality work. There are the usual punch items but not a long list and we are pleased with all he did. This was a fairly substantial renovation.

Review: On or about February 11, 2013 Keith Rossi Construction, LLC. performed repairs to my house to remedy damages from Hurricane Sandy. The damages that were to be repaired where to our roof, which had allowed water into the ceiling of our porch and was causing the porch to leak, they were also to repair leak and damage to our interior walls on our second floor. Keith Rossi Construction, LLC. claimed that the repairs done would keep from any type of water build up in our porch ceiling because they were addressing the following reasons: repairing a point entrance where water came in near our gutter, correcting incorrect step flashing on our dormer, as well as, laying down ice and water shields underneath our new shingles which would keep water or ice backing up due to the slope of our roof. Keith Rossi, Construction, LLC. also replaced any damaged plywood and replaced all shingles going to the top of our dormer on both sides of our roof.

Since the repair had been done not only has water began to build up and leak from the ceiling of our porch, but the leak has now backed up and began to leak inside our home as well. We have called Keith Rossi Construction, LLC. multiple time in the last two years about the problem not being fixed. At first he came out and replace more shingles on our roof, but it still leaked. Then he came out and guaranteed that a sealant he would use along our dormer would stop the water coming in to our porch and in our house but it still leaked. Finally he told us that we would have to pay more money to truly get it fixed. I have continued to try to get him to correct the original problem his work was guaranteed to fix. Keith Rossi Construction, LLC. since has stopped returning our phone calls while our roof still leaks.

There is no reason in my estimation for a brand new roof to continue to leak and even back up and cause more damage than the original issue unless it was not properly done.Desired Settlement: Keith Rossi Construction, LLC. should guarantee their work and warranties by either completing the work correctly and fix the further damages that their work has caused in my home or pay for a contractor to make the correct repairs.

Upon my initial visit to Mr. [redacted] house there was about 10' of gutter and fascia that had pulled away from the front porch roof as well as a 2' x 2' wide hole in the middle of the porch. Below this hole the soffit had pulled from the ceiling. We formed a contract in which we were going to remove the entire roof on the porch so that the sheathing could be repaired and we would install Ice and Water shield on the whole porch roof , due to its low slope pitch. Also we would install new shingles at a shorter exposure , giving the roof a higher headlap which would also help the low slope installation. After arriving to due the work Mr. [redacted] showed me a wet spot on the ceiling inside the house to the left of the front door. His feeling was that the porch leak was backing up into the house . I told him that I didn't think so and that I would remove shingles on the left side of the front dormer and reflash. Did the job and then received a call back saying the interior leak was still there. Went back same thing. Went back again on a Sunday and removed shingles from the field further out from dormer. Found that the upper roof above the porch has two layers of shingles on it. When removing the top layer of shingles found all of the nails holding that layer on were completely rusted out. Meaning there it water getting under this layer from up above. If water is getting under the roof from above it can obviously come downhill and run into both house and porch. I told him this when finding the rusted nails. Mr. [redacted] after a while called my phone leaving a message stating how disappointed he was that this leak wasn't fixed and how me not ever answering calls or ever showing up to repair this problem was a breach of contract. (1) I did go back at least twice to investigate and told him what I thought, that the upper roof is the problem. (2) The shingles that I attempted to fix for him , up the side of the dormer were a jesture of good will and were never part of the original contract (3) Leaks on existing roofs are never warranted and will never be. The only warranty ever given by this company is if we have replaced your entire roof. As I can not warranty someone else's work that has two layers on it. I'm sorry that he has not listened to my advice and I'm sorry that he wants to disregard the two times I was there to fix it for him . Maybe without the nasty message I would have come back more.
