I called last Sat morning and told them I had a Ruger Mark llll Lite that I
Had taken the grips off and could not get them back in correctly- they said bring it in and it would be $10.00.

I went straight over and Don disassembled the grips that were on too high and showed me how I
Had pulled out the 2 screws from the frame. He went in the back and it took him about 30 minutes to get the grips back on, new screws, and reattach the double safeties.

I told him he did a lot more work than I indicated on my phone call so I
Was willing to pay more for his time.

He refused and said $10 was fine and he would stick with his estimate. Gun is back to perfect now. I am going back later next week to trade in some guns - I do trust Don, which is the man I dealt with.

Over a year ago I brought a gun to be repaired. After a dozen trips and 15-20 phone calls the gun is still not repaired.September 3rd 2013 I ([redacted]) damaged the stock of my friends [redacted] 1100 shotgun ([redacted] We brought it to [redacted] as they are the one gunsmith in the [redacted] area. We were told it would be fixed, potentially in 2/3 weeks time. As it stands, it is still not fixed to this day. I have put way way too much effort in order to get the service they claim to offer. Point of fact, I have driven to their location so many times in the past year I've spent over $100 in gas and they wasted too many hours of my time to let this slide any further. I have called dozens of times and every time I hear "It's at the top of our list" or "We are hard at work on it" but they have done nothing but blow smoke in my direction. I even tried to take back the dis repaired gun at one point but it couldn't be located. I am beyond dissatisfied at this point. It is not so much that it wasn't repaired, but the fact every time either one of us contacted [redacted] or [redacted] we were assured that it would be ready soon. 390 days later and the gun is still not repaired. I know no other business that could operate the way they do or treat any customer the way we have been treated. Desired SettlementRepair the gun immediately or return it immediately. Compensation for time wasted and services not rendered.

Slow service, false indication of when service would be completed,no follow up on why the repair and upgrade has taken so long.Slow service, did not stay in touch with me when he said they didn,t make that particular part for gun. I would call every 2 weeks and got same story. Parts not in. If so why didn,t they call me.Over charged for what they performed. They did put sights on as agreed. They did not do any specialized machineing as charged for.I took pistol to another gunsmith and in his opinion nothing was done to pistol other than putting on sights.Took gun to them on february 21st. got back on June 9th.The run around I got was horrible.Over charge for all services. Was charged $492 for their service. The pistol is not even worth that amount. I didn,t argue at the time I was just shocked. I knew it would just cause a scene.Said they cleaned pistol they didn,t. This no way to run a business. I won,t my money back other than the cost of the sights which was marked uo 200%. I have talked to other customers and they had same experience. Actually lied to. I was also lied to by them saying what they did.I Desired SettlementRefund on services except on cost of sights.

Dishonest, rude, unapologeticI left a gun with Keith Warner, Gunsmith Inc. back in April to have the barrel replaced. At that time I was quoted around $130 to replace the barrel. It was my understanding that would be the cost for the total repair. There was no mention of any other charges that could be incurred, nor the cost of labor. Finally on Sept 30th, they called to say the gun was ready. When I went to pick up the gun on 10/2, the charge for the repair was $406. They explained the charges were for the barrel, the $80/hr labor cost and the cost to fix it from automatically firing. They said once they fixed the barrel, it was firing automatic and you can't own a gun that fires automatic. I understand that, but they never called to inform me of additional charges. They went ahead and performed the work without my approval. I expressed my disapproval of this higher price than what I was initially quoted and there was no apology, no remorse. I mentioned the fact that they also had the gun since April and it took way too long to fix. They said they lost the ticket. There was no offer to discount the repair because of the delay. They were rude to me and to my wife (who later called to inform them that we would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com). They never apologized to me or my wife for the delay and for not calling to get approval before doing more work. They even hung up on my wife.I feel they were dishonest about the initial quote and the extra charges. Now, I am concerned that they changed the firing. It is supposed to be a semi-automatic pistol and they mentioned that the extra charges were for it firing "automatic" after the barrel was fixed. Desired SettlementI would at least like a discount due to the fact that they "lost the ticket" for the repair of the gun that they had in their possession from April until the end of September. However, ultimately, I feel I should not have had to pay for the extra charges because they were performed without my approval.

I dropped my rifle off to be service on 11/26/2013 and was told it would be done in two months. 8 months later it is still not complete.I took my[redacted] rifle to[redacted] 11/26/13 to be reblued. I was told it would take no more than 2 months and would cost approximately $200. From that point on I have gotten one story after another about why it has been delayed. The first issue was that it got set aside in the back room and did not get sent off to the[redacted] for 2 months. After that, I have kept checking back by either calling or stopping in and I continually get excuses as to why it is not done. It has been back from the[redacted] since the end of May and simply needs to be reassembled. I have also been told twice now that it is on the bench being re-assembled and will be ready for pick up on such and such date. Each time when I went to pick it up, it was not ready but I was given another excuse. Here I am 8 months later and I am tired of being given the run around and just want the gun back. The gun has little to no monetary value, but was bought by an Uncle of mine in 1963, passed down and has a lot of sentimental value in our family. At this point, I feel I am at their mercy in terms of the time frame of getting it back and the only other option I see is filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. I really hate to file a complaint but this has drug on way too long and I now see no other option. Below is the timeline of events from the notes I have kept.* 11/26/13 - Dropped of[redacted] to be re-blued. Was told that there was a chance it would be back by Christmas but most likely two months* Mid Feb 2014 - Called to check in. Gun had not come back from [redacted] yet* 3/7/14 - Called and spoke with[redacted]. He did not know status of gun and was going to call [redacted] (owner) to get more info and then call me back.* 3/7/14 -[redacted] called back. Gun had not come back from bluing yet. Gun had not been sent to the[redacted] originally as it had gotten set in the shop and forgotten. [redacted] was to follow up with the[redacted] on 3/11* 4/5/14 - Stopped in at [redacted]'s as I had not heard back and was told gun had not come back in yet.* 4/27/14 - Called in and was told that the gun would be in next week.* 5/10/14 - Stopped in at [redacted]'s and was told gun had not come back in yet but would be in the week of 5/12/14 and would be given first priority to get it back to me. Spoke with [redacted].* 5/27/14 - Had not heard anything on the gun so I called back. Spoke with[redacted] who did not have any information on it and would have to look it up and call me back. Gave him the ticket number and my cell number* 5/28/14 - Called again and spoke with[redacted] after not getting a return call. He still had no info on the gun and would try to have [redacted] call me back this afternoon.* 5/28/14 -[redacted] called back. [redacted] is putting gun together this afternoon and it should be done today* 6/4/14 - Stopped in and spoke to [redacted]. Still not put back together. He said "We just can't seem to get this one done". Asked him for a date that it would be done and he would not give a definite timeline* 7/11/14 - Called to ask about gun.[redacted] I spoke to did not know and said [redacted] was out and he would call me back* 7/16/14 - Did not get a call back so I called them back. Was told [redacted] was on vacation for the week and would call me back next week.* 7/23/14 - Never received a call back so I called back again. Gun is on [redacted]'s bench and will be ready for pick up Friday. Told them I would be there at lunchtime on 7/25 and they said fine * 7/25/14 - Show up to pick up the gun, gun is not ready. It is still on the bench and not complete. Got more excuses about why it is not ready. Told me it would be a few more days.Desired SettlementAt this point, I just want my gun back, whether it is fully assembled or as a box of parts. I am more than happy to take it somewhere else to get the job finished but I am very worried that the gun is either damaged or missing parts as I can see no other reason why it would take this long to complete this service.
