Keller Drilling Company

was assigned to us by our home warranty company to make repairs on our water well. The worker told us he had to pull his truck over to the well in order to fix the well. The heavy utility became stuck in our yard, and he was told to call a tow truck by whomever he called at his shop. The truck was drug out across to the street, leaving deep trenches in the yard.

Prior to driving the truck onto the yard, no one from *** expressed that we would be responsible for towing expenses should the truck be stuck, nor that they would not take responsibility for any damage to our property.

Their equipment left unsightly ruts that extend approximately 70 feet across the lawn to the street. The company performed no work, the well was not repaired, and there was never any follow-up communication from *** other than to bill us $200 for the tow service to remove their truck.

In the following days, another well service company was able to perform the necessary repairs without driving onto the lawn. Additionally, they noted that they’ve never billed a customer for a tow.

We believe that *** must be responsible for their own equipment, and we are outraged that they would blame the customer for their own failure to inspect the suitability of the ground and/or take mitigation steps to protect their equipment.
