Back in 2013 they scoured my then retired husband's mine workplace and rounded him and a group of other retiree workers up by promising them good representation if it turned out they had asbestosis or mesothelioma.
They said he had asbestosis.
In 2013 they netted him $2,101.54 for 7 claims they handled.
In 2015 he received $115.73 plus $16.35.
In Feb 2015 he died during heart surgery.
After he died Kelley & Ferraro demanded and kept demanding that I hire a probate attorney when MI law does not require that. Their demands went on for awhile. I finally got one out of frustration but terminated her on the same day because it was clear to me that she was either careless or purposely wanted to make the will disappear.
I was sole beneficiary of my husband's will. Other than our joint home, he didn't have much. I opened probate and became his official estate rep. And Kelley & FERRARO hasn't sent me a dime since. That's the only reason probate had to be opened in the first place.
K &F are more interested in having widows waste money on needless attorneys and jumping needless hoops than actually doing as they promised.
Also like other clients of Kelley and FERRARO, the claims paperwork does indeed look fishy as the disease level is not the same on all docs. That makes them appear untrustworthy.
There is no point in continuing probate because it is clear to me they aren't and won't be doing anything meaningful since my husband died in Feb 2015. Yet it is their job to find legitimate claims and process them correctly. Which they don't. It is now Nov 2020.
