Revdex.com, The original verbal $price was to repair the house brick only, I was told by *** to repair the wall as wellI informed him that would cost considerable more and that I was not able to pin point a cost due to the extreme difficulty of the projectI presented itemized invoicing to
explain the project and the way cost was generatedThe project was geared toward pulling the brick and the wall back into position that goal was achieved, however there are unfinished brick to be laid mortar joints to tuck with mortar, controlled drainage and back filling of dirt as described in the two proposalsThe $that is due is work that already has been preformed the two proposals are for future continuing workRDL

October 19, 2016First go to the first itemized pages we sent to you on October 4, 2016, page 2. If he was only to do the brick on the house from the $18,000.00 bid, why did he bring in a track hoe and dug down at least 10 to 12 feet deep and hit water and gas lines? Roger never told us when he was coming or digging down that deep, to even ask if we had any below service utilities. Plus he could see the drilled water well not from where he dug, if he did not have a plan on working on pulling back the wall from the beginning! Then Roger charged us $735.00 for repairs on both lines, then charged us $70.00 for straw to cover up the water line. That would be $6.00 per bale divided by $70.00 about 12 bales of straw. We never saw that much straw in the place he claimed to put it. At that time December 11, 2016, Roger asked for the $5,000.00 applied for materials, steel etc. for $6,726.00. On March 9, 2016, came back to start working on the wall again asking for the $11,726.40. At that time we asked Roger “how much more we would owe.” Roger stated “not much just incidentals”.We never spoke or heard from Roger personally again until the night of September 6, 2016 around 9:00pm when he came to give us the additional itemized bill adding an additional $12,133.10. The next day September 7, 2016, when Roger pulled out taking everything and wishing us luck (this is on page 6, itemized pages we sent to you). First sentence “You ask is I could repair the brick on house and pull back the wall.” Roger states right there he knew everything when he started the project on December 2, 2016 and gave us the bid of $18,000.00 in October 2015. Fourth sentence same letter “We successfully moved the wall and house brick back into place and have anchored both however the cost has gotten out of hand and I apologize for that”.  So, on March 9, 2016 when we gave Roger a check for $11,726.40 and we specifically asked Roger while standing behind the house “how much more. Roger stated not much just incidental.” So, by his reply to you Revdex.com and his letter to us on September 7, 2016, he knew what his bid was and what he was asked to do up front in the beginning. Repair the brick on house and pull back the wall. Not what he put in his reply, message from business. “The original verbal $18,000.00Price was to repair the house brick only, I was told by [redacted] to repair the wall as well. I informed him that would cost considerable more and that I was not able to pin point a cost due to extreme difficulty of the project.” Please compare both his letter on September 7, 2016 and his reply to you on October 12, 2016.By the way we would like to have a copy of the original driver’s ticket to where he delivered the concrete, how much yardage was delivered, should have been two loads. For the Dead Man Concrete, 22 yards we were charged for $2,952.71.Also, the original slips for the gravel and delivery for $255.45, we would like the same, drivers’ ticket to where he delivered the gravel and how much was delivered.Receipt for the brick and motor we were charged for $275.00 that he took when he left the project on September 7, 2016.Now going back to Roger’s statement he made to the Revdex.com. Please note his statement, sentence 4, “the project was geared toward pulling the brick and the wall back into position that goal was achieved, however there are unfinished brick to be laid, mortar joints to tuck with mortar, controlled drainage and back filling of dirt as described in the two proposals. The $4000.00 that is due is work that already has been performed the two proposals are future continuing work. RDL” Revdex.com, please go back and review his page 10, $3232.00, he sent us on September 27, 2016, to fix and repair bricks.  “Plus any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs.” Gee… If Roger was only going to repair brick on the front of the house for $18,000.00. Why is he now going to charge us $3,232.00 on his last proposal? We wrote Roger a check on October 11, 2016 for the $4,000.00 paying him in full. We can send you a copy of the duplicate check #5750, or you have copies of our checks #[redacted] page 1a, #[redacted] page 1b, #[redacted] page 1c and contact [redacted] that check #[redacted] has not been cashed as of October 18, 2016.We would appreciate our questions on the concrete, gravel, bricks and mortar original receipts to be answered. We have been on this project for now 1 year. We are asking you the Revdex.com if we as a consumer have been treated fair and with the standard that you represent.

The excavation was necessary because dirt and debris had gotten behind the house brick wall in order to clean this area out we had to excavate to a level of the front of house which was 8' to 10' deep. I was never told by home owner that there was utilities in this area we had know idea that they were there until we hit them proper repairs were made to corrected. The water well was not even close to the excavation to repair the house brick. Why anyone would install a water and gas line and go around to the front of the house before entering is beyond us. The water well is on the end of the house and only 15' away a straight to house would have been a better installation. The water and gas line are both privately owned so to call OUPS would not help to locate the lines. The home owners knew we was going to have to excavate there but neglected to inform us the lines were there. After the excavation to remove the dirt from behind to house brick wall is when Mr. [redacted] said to also repair the wall his wife was not present at this time however my helper were as I explained to Mr. [redacted] that I could not pin point a cost to due to unforeseen type of work need to make the repairs to wall. Mrs. [redacted] is confusing time frames that Mr. [redacted] said to also repair the wall the letter states that both the house brick and the wall repairs had been achieved was at a much later date. The $18000.00 was to repair the house brick only. When Mr. [redacted] decided to have us also repair the wall is when the cost went up. The brick on the house are no longer available therefore lots of time and miles was consumed trying to find a brick that would match the color and texture of the brick. Mr. [redacted] didn't like what we picked out he said to remove existing brick from the wall out away from house and reuse them closer to house so it would match and lay the brick we picked out in the area where brick were removed. Not only is this not practical because we would be lucky to get one out of ten that would be reusable, but it would be very time consuming and would increase the cost even more. So since he was not happy with the brick we returned them to the supplier for refund which I have finally received. The mortar will not keep and would become lumpy in a short time so it was also returned. I will be sending a check to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] for the amount of the brick and mortar of $275.00. Also will include a copy of concrete invoice and gravel invoice that was used.
